I like the ruggable concept but I just don't like their patterns

I have a machine washable shag rug from Loloi and it’s been quite amazing. It’s just hard to find a good padding for it that’s washable and not too heavy. I have two dogs and the washable white shag rug I have hasn’t been horrible to take care of at all.

Sorry if this is a silly question, but do you know if there are any washable rugs that are not made from microfibers? I’m trying to buy (and wash) less microfiber products. The few washable rugs that I looked at were made from polyester.

I would love to see a Tumble vs Ruggable comparison. I have heard Ruggable has added corner pockets like Tumble. I have a Tumble and the whole corners stick up and seem to have shrunk smaller than the pads.

I have many ruggables and my problems is that the black backing get just as dirty as the rug... in the past I have thrown in the washer as well. What have others found that is eaiser than have to wash the rug and the backing.

Surprised you didn’t list Lorena Canals. I am debating between theirs or ruggable now.

Can you do a review on FLOR carpet rugs and tiles? It's supposed to be less expensive but really nice

i bought flor for my daughters nursery in 2009, pink with pink princess squares, it got dirty and NOT washable. hopefully they have improved their product because well in 2022

I’ve never purchased a rug for a living room or dining room. We’ve mainly lived in carpeted areas. I know the main benefit for ruggable and other rugs is the machine wash. Does that get the rug cleaner than using a carpet cleaner once every week or every other week?

I do not own one but I've owned many area rugs and if you take them up and maybe take them outside and spray them down with a hose with good city water pressure and the jet stream setting, a lot of dirt comes out (also smaller rugs at the door I wash in the tub and it looks like mud/ chocolate milk even after clean vacuuming. There's a lot of little stuff that sticks at the base of the pile that you can't get out with an average carpet cleaner because you can't fully saturate an installed rug/ carpet without wetting the underlayment and possibly causing mold issues or subfloor damage such as to the hardwood that might be underneath your rug. Extraction just is not as good as full saturation/submersion washing 🤷‍♂️ The other thing to remember is these are like the really really cheap rugs you see at T.J.Maxx. These things aren't but maybe a quarter inch thick. You might completely hate them and not be interested in the convenience... But this also means they don't hold as much dirt so they would actually clean really easily with a carpet cleaner and you wouldn't have to take them up and put them in the washing machine to wash them every time :-) I'm shopping very diligently for runners especially for high traffic areas is why I'm so informed.

HELP!!!! I am a very happy ruggable owner, but have one issue. I have watched most of your posts but have an issue with the under pad. I have long hair and with 3 dogs there is even more hair in the house. I swiffer twice a week and fully clean and vacuum weekly. I have noticed over time where the rug curls hair will stick to the velcro and then the rug does not stick any more. How do I clean the velcro side of the under mat? PLEASE post a solution or dm me directly if you can.

Ruggable has round rugs

Unless you have an industrial washing machine it is not advisable to put a big rug, even thin in your washer unless it was no bigger than 3x5 Once they're wet the weight is super heavy & because it's a big item the water can't properly flow through anything that big. It just sits in the water, doesn't get properly rinsed & can throw your washer off with the weight. I see people cram tons of clothes in their washers with the expectation that something magical happens when the door closes. It doesn't.

WHY THE CRUEL?? CARPET TAPE?

Check out wool. I would much rather sit, walk on, or wear a naturally antimicrobial carpet than one that got swished around in bacteria happy water temps of a washing machine and chemicals. I'm thinking these are like the difference between plastic and natural wood cutting boards. If you miss cleaning a spot on a plastic cutting board you have a near laboratory clan breeding ground for germs. Miss a spot on natural wood and germs start dying on their own. Most fun way to deep clean a wool rug or blanket without a washing machine...put it in the sun and hit it with a stick 😀
