Dude really said that Bea's honeycoat wasn't that useful in 3v3 modes, while there's literally a clip in the background showing how stupid it can be in the background 😂 And I find it weird he doesn't mention the part where 8-bit also respawns with full ammo and invulnerability shield. It shows in the background, but it's definitely a VERY important thing to mention, that was what really made the star power absurd

I actually find his current state mind nubbing. Not only you're giving a revive ability to a brawler, you give it to a god damn tank which with the super can go up to 20k health, and that thing doesn't even have a cool down, meaning in some scenarios he can live forever. I honestly find Doug to be the perfect "Oportunist" brawler besides mortis and mico, the playerbase of this brawler revolve in either close ranged maps or waiting in the bushes on showdown with the double damage gadget. This brawler in general is literally a Jacky bootleg glued with the removed 1 up star power and that one healing poco star power, and again, the way you play this brawler is really braindead and barely requires any skill. And I'm gonna say Doug is way more bullshit than the peak Edgar once reached.

@@scokio9947 You are either stuck in gold league or just don't play this game. Doug is really not that great. First of all, his revive is hardcountered by just not attacking him after he uses his super. Sure, easier said than done but given his terrible range it is entirely feasible. You can also counter it with Otis or Cordelius. You could also just outrange him since 95% of brawlers outrange this dude if not a 100%. Much like Jacky, he is a basically super farming cow for most enemy teammates. I personally LOVE playing against Doug because I main Tara. He is only ever a threat if your teammates/you suck at the game big time and keep feeding into his super. Overall, low tier trash. Peak Edgar was WAY stronger because short of being a shotgun brawler, there was no counter. Just death.

only time i used 8 but was when he had his extra life star power. never played him since cuz he was pushed to 500 solely in solo showdown

I really hope they start making some starpowers baseline again, I think it's a really good way to breathe new life into Bad or unbalanced brawlers. Some brawlers really need it because some brawlers have Starpowers they cannot be played without. Chester's Bell-o-mania and Otis' Ink Refills should definitely become baseline.

Not to mention it felt like Christmas morning whenever I'd check to see the sneak peeks for the balance changes each update. Nowadays, the hype around balance changes just don't feel the same because a much larger portion of the balance changes are nerfs to either the new brawlers or to brawlers that got a broken hypercharge. Sadly, after the update that removed boxes, I feel like fundamentally changing Star Powers and Gadgets is a harder thing to justify. This is because before that update, most people got their Star Powers and Gadgets from boxes, while now we mostly get them through buying them with coins which means that people who bought that Star Power might wake up to having a Star Power that they don't like one day. I'm not saying that the reasoning is sound proof or anything, but still, it could be enough to deter the devs from making changes like that. Which is a shame really because making star powers baseline has done a ton of good for brawlers like Mortis and Brock, and it could make star powers more balanced for the brawlers that you mentioned.

Yep, I fully agree. Rosa's super should deal the extra damage from Thorny Gloves every time, as Plant Life just outshines it so much for example. Bull needs to be able to stomp & stop his super BUILT IN to his super, like pressing the super button to charge and pressing it again to stop, as his stomper gadget alone makes him more viable in many situations. Just give Barley the extra damage from his star power permanently, a flat damage increase is really meh for a star power... give him this damage boost and replace the star power with something else

@@sohaibm1617 I don't think so, as having this ability as a gadget doesn't make him OP either... it makes him barely viable. Without it, it's really too situational to charge up to someone all the way to the end of his super and not take huge damage in the process

Spirit slap originally gave your basic attack extra damage when your super was charged. Not make the super do damage.

Yeah. They removed it because it incentivized people to not use Gene's super and it wasn't the playstyle they wanted for the brawler.

We all know Belle's Grounded Star Power is the best Star Power to ever exist.

I will say with the old revolving door that it was hard to be effective with it due to Mr P not having the exploding suitcase at max range (he originally needed handle with care for that) so he had to deal with a significantly shorter attack range

Actually Genes Spirit slap got changed Twice after removing Pat on the back Spirit slap gave Gene a flat damage buff when ever his super was charged but then it got changed to the one it is today

In my opinion removing second life was odd, cuz they could have just remove the shield and make defense 10% worse(in my opinion it's enough)

Everyone can agree last blast was the trolliest and funniest star power to play. Depending on your placement of the mortar near to enemies, all of the bombs would just line up and explode on the enemy dealing TONS of damage
