Hi, Silvana, your description of style is enlightening. I often admire someone’s outfit trying to work out what makes it stand out and different. You’re right, it is how they wear the pieces that fit perfectly and with conform and ease and usually that unexpected addition of a colourful scarf, an unusual piece of formal jewellery with jeans or a pop of coloured shoe with a monochrome outfit. I love your videos and now at 66 and retired have a renewed sense of adventure with style not confined with ‘work appropriate’ style. 😊

All your points are right on target. I dress better on "casual Fridays". People in the office think I dress like that everyday. I never wear jeans to the office. Also, I don't think is anybody's business to give us :permission" to wear jeans on a certain day and not others. I have never liked uniforms.

Hi Silvana, I love your videos as a woman at 55. I have learned so much from you! I just want to mention that while you’re right that many style content creators on KZread etc talk about having only neutral colors in a capsule wardrobe, there are many influencers who are passionate about having color and variety *in a capsule wardrobe*. You might find Alyssa Beltempo, for example, talks about this!

that's wonderful to hear, Alicia! And thanks for your input but the original capsule wardrobe created by Suzie Faux in the 70's didn't include colors or prints or any statement or not classic items and it hasn't departed much from it. if you do include those, then you're not actually talking the original concept of capsule wardrobe but something new. In any case, I just wanted to clarify :)

I find Capsule Wardrobes stifling! I enjoy putting outfits together and have done so since I was about 8 and raided my petite grandmother's closet! I am from a line of artists, taught, and am now called the citie's stylist!

I love that you said Stylish women don't believe in capsule wardrobe. I had to giggle a little because it is all the rage. I Never could do that. I love your pointers.

I loved this video and ALWAYS appreciate the tangible examples to support the concept! As I was watching this you spoke about how stylish women like to be unique, and they pride themselves in that; it made me think of you and your approach to your videos, which is also very unique, and so incredible! I also appreciated your reference to your mother and grandmother, especially about your grandmother's signature perfume. It made me think of my maternal grandmother; I can still imagine her scent, which is very memorable!

Another great video. For several years, I've gotten many items from vintage clothing stores. This includes multiple states I've traveled. All items purchased from these stores are vastly different. As you've stated, the quality is amazing 🎉

Highly agree! Capsule wardrobe is boring and for the non-creative bunch who do not have self-identity.
