9 Pulse Points Assessment on the Body Nursing - Anatomy and Physiology

The nine pulse points on the body are important to learn as a nurse or healthcare professional. You'll be using many of these common pulse points during your assessments, such as the head-to-toe assessment.
In this video, you'll learn the locations and landmarks of nine different pulse points. In addition, you'll learn information you'll need to document while assessing the pulse point locations, including the pulse rhythm, strength, and pulse rate.
Here are the nine pulse points covered in this video:
-Temporal Pulse Point Assessment (temporal artery near ear and temples)
-Carotid Pulse Point Assessment (carotid artery on neck)
-Apical Pulse Point Assessment (apex of the heart)
-Brachial Pulse Point Assessment (brachial artery in arm)
-Radial Pulse Point Assessment (near the wrist and thumb)
-Femoral Pulse Point Assessment (near crease of upper leg)
-Popliteal Pulse Point Assessment (behind the knee)
-Dorsalis Pedis Pulse Point Assessment (top of foot)
-Posterior Tibial Pulse Point Assessment (inside of ankle region)

I want everyone to know. I took my NCLEX two days ago and passed with 75 questions. I watched all your videos. I didn't purchase one book. I did pay for practice questions. You explained every topic perfectly and i was able to learn more from your video's than i did in school. Its nice when you can stop rewind or replay. I dont go on KZread otherwise i would tell the world about these videos. Your videos are so good and i recommend anyone taking the NCLEX to watch and study with them. I will warn everyone most of my test was select all that apply. I thought i was going to die. I will also tell everyone know how to break down the questions follow ABC and ask yourself who will die first. Another clue always pick acute over chronic no matter how serious it seems. Most of all infection control , disease prevention , and delegation and who is responsible know the legal stuff. Its just as important Very big. Watch all of her videos save your money. The money most of us dont have being we havent worked because of nursing school has taken over iur lives and Good luck to everyone.

When and why is the femoral pulse taken. I ask because I only searched for this after a video of a doctor being in investigated for doing this to a student who reported it to her mother and reported the doctor to the police. The comments are filled with people who are claim to be in the medical field saying they never check a pulse that way unless it's like an extreme situation or people saying they've never had their pulse checked that way which includes me.
