My little girl (9 months yesterday) can't crawl yet and seems quite far off pulling herself up on things. She can sit unaided fine and get from sitting to tummy, can roll and crawl in a fashion (like thrusting herself forward) to reach where she wants to go. I feel kind of bad at the idea of treating her like a dog and putting a toy she wants across the room, should I start ''training'' her that way? But on the flip side she's been clapping for like 2+ months (which apparently comes later after crawling?), can bounce crazy high in her bouncer, speaking ''mama'' ''dada'' ''cat" (well, AT AT when she sees it) ''hiya'' (and waving when she sees people or herself in a mirror) ''uh oh'' (when she drops something off her high chair) since 6/7 months. I guess they all develop differently.

Give them room to move Babies need room to practice motor skills. ... Tummy time - it’s never too early! Tummy time is the best way for your baby to develop the strength in their neck, shoulders, arms and trunk that they need to roll, crawl and walk. ... Give your baby the “just right” challenge ... Make it fun! ...
