This episode is the least good.. Similar topic was in Step by step.. when Karen bought a gift to Frank. Its the way how to brainwash society by television, to buy more and more gifts. While most normal people don't care about expensive gifts but care more about making the relationship work and not make companies rich. Some guy did Ted talk about American culture, that they spend so much money on stuff that they need 3 times bigger houses for the stuff..... why in reality do they don't need so much stuff... It's just a marketing strategy to brainwash society to buy more stuff.

It's nice that whether we come from a great family or find love and create our own there's still always the chance to create a family with wonderful friends. I guess that Friends, even though only a TV show, gives us a bit of that if you don't currently have the above. It makes the holidays less lonely for a lot of single people which really is a gift in and of itself.

It's kinda mean of Ross trying to force Mon to having more of those biscuits as she might fall back into old habits. And I loved Chan's donation at the end.
