Yes. Kerepesi in Budapest, Vysehrad in Prague, Merry in very far north of Romania, the one in Zagreb etc. Have yet to visit those in Paris.

Prague has moved up a few spots on my travel bucket list thanks to this video! Great recommendations and beautiful footage as always 😊

I love the old T-3 trams, too! There are the new Porsche and Skoda trams, but that’s just something about taking ride in the ol’ T3, can’t explain what it is but I really love them!❤️🙃

Everything you said about Prague I completely agree with. I also think the the city is up there with places like Venice, Rome, York, Brugge etc. When I went there last Feb I also didn't go to the castle, but I watched 'the Change of Guards' which was funny enough. Of course I tried "Baumkuchen" and lots of Beeeeeer😮. I think it is even better than most of German beer. And I went to the Kafka-Museum, as I am a Kafka-fan. What did you two graveyard-lovers think of the Jewish graveyard? I was absolutely blown away by it. I have never seen anything like it in my whole life. To sum it up, I totally agree with you: Prague is one of the best cities Europe has to offer.

What a perfect way to truly visit a place near from home: Take advantage of the new world and work remote! Always thought I wanted to visit Prague, now I know I do (in warmer weather-poor Camille). Also, I thank you for adding a new “hobby” for my resume: beer drinking! (Don’t think I should list that on my resume, though 😂). Looking forward to next week!! Thanks again for the great videos and my weekly escape to Europe with ya!

If U really love Mucha so much U made a big mistake by choosing not to go into St. Vitus cathedral in Prague Castle - Mucha is author of one stained glass inside of New part of cathedral (the most beautiful ones - U would tell)... ;)

@@NearFromHome Besides if U like to visit castles and chateaus then Bohemia is a promisland for U - we have about 2.000 of those. In one of them (named Zbiroh - on the half way from Prague to Pilsen) Mucha lived and worked on his Slav Epic - there is permanent exhibition of his work. And if U want some real castle with castle town then go to Loket (in german Elbogen) - it is close to German border.

​@@NearFromHome If you love Mucha you shoudl visite Moravský Krumlov. There are his large pictures. And 15 km from Krumlov there is town named Ivančice, where is Mucha´s museum. He was born in Ivančice.

As someone from Czech Republic, I think there is not a single person who can eat Větrník like civilized person 😅 you got atleast fork for it, most of the time when I ate it you needed to use your hands. But amazing video, you have great positive energy while doing everything and thats really great! I'm glad that you liked our city!

Oh Man! I wish you would have gone into the cathedral! I walked around for hours trying find the cathedral entrance and now just learned from you that you have to go through the residence building to get to it. No wonder I couldn't find it! Had no idea the gymnastics you had to do to find it! Well if I ever go again to Prague now I know how to get to it.

Not sure where you've been but there are no residential buildings at Prague Castle. And you just need to walk through any of the gates into the castle. Not hard or hidden to get into.

this is such a great guide to prague! and now we are so bummed that we didn't get to try the vetrnik - that looks so good 🤤

Great video!! I love walking through cemeteries, that one looks really cool in Prague! My favorite is Glasnevin Cemetery in Dublin.

Prague looks amazing

At 0:48, that's the Czech National Bank, with an Art Deco facade, built from 1935-1942 (designed in the late 1920s). On Mucha, there's more of his work to see in one hall in the Municipal House (obecni dum). Plenty of magnificent Mucha murals to marvel at in this hall. The series of 20 giant-sized Mucha paintings called "Slav Epic" had a few years ago been moved out of Prague but talks are ongoing to bring it back...perhaps later/late this decade.

Yes! We really wanted to see the Slav Epic, but it's quite far away. You can be sure we are going back to Prague if they move it back.

A couple points: The Charles bridge can accessed from the Krannerovo schodiště (lit. Kranner staircase) from the Kampa Island. This stone staircase was built in 1844 replacing an earlier wooden spiral staircase from 1785. There were however plans for a stair connection as early as 1644, it just took a flood in 1784 and subsequent repair work to get the ball rolling. The access from Dražického nám also bypasses the towers on the Malá strana side, though historically it was also not there, replacing a house that was there as late as the 18th century. West vs East. It's actually more typical for western parts of European cities to be more developed than east sides, because prevailing winds carry smoke and foul smells to the east. That is why cities like Paris, London, Oslo etc. had their traditionally expensive districts in the West and tanneries and factories in their Easts. Mucha's last works, and probably his most important from a technical and symbolic point - the Slavic Epic, a series of 20 absolutely gigantic painting allegorically describing Slavic history are able to be visited in the Chateau at Moravský Krumlov. If you are a big fan of Mucha, seeing those works is an absolute must if not only for the effect of their sheer size towering over the viewer.

1:14 Since the summer, Prague has had a new bridge, another completely new one for pedestrians and cyclists only. It is called HolKa, it connects the districts of Holešovice and Karlín. From the bridge you can go down to the island and there is a beautiful view of the castle. I have already seen photographers there making time-lapse videos of the sunset over the castle.

We visited the graveyards in Prague. It was extremely interesting and we were checking out the dates. Many people were visiting placing flowers & candles on their families graveside. We went back later and candles were lit throughout. There were flower vendors just outside the gates. Some of the Graves were very elaborate and seemed to hold more than 1 family member. It was fall and covered in leaves. I would recommend anyone take a stroll through this graveyard.

I wonder if it was Dušičky - a celebration of remembering the dead, a day where families go to the cemetery to clean graves and leave flowers and candles. It's in the fall, in early November.

I would say 3-4. I see many bloggers and KZreadrs recommending 1, maybe 2 days. I don't really think that's enough. We also like to travel slow, so results may vary!

haha vetrnik is a beast, they must have invented it to get you messy😂I eat it like a hamburger😅.. mate, what are you both wearing on a bridge in cold weather??? I would freeze

Hello, happy you enjoyed the city I live in 🙂. As for větrník, you can not really eat it with any utencil. Is my fave from all desserts but i only eat it at home, because I always split the the top and bottom with kind of eaqual portion of filling and it with hands 🙂.

18:39 I usually find people's reactions on YT to be exaggerated and artificial, but once I saw where you were, it was clear to me that it wasn't fake. I am demanding, so not every restaurant can satisfy me. But RED DEER is a place that has a really high level. We had a Christmas party there in 2021. The food, the environment, the service, everything at a really high level. By the way, it's a former bank building, they still have the huge vault doors.

Get to Prague's centre at 5:45am in spring and summer and enjoy the place with few people about (for an hour or two). 6:30am in winter.

fun fact: charles bridge was inspired by the "Steinerne Brücke" in Regensburg =)

We have been to so many palaces, and honestly don't care that much about them. It#s important to do things you are interested in when on vacation. Time is precious!
