I love Taiwan! Me and my friend had a DIY trip to Shifen and Jiufen, as well as Taipei, a few years ago. I'm glad you tried the peanut roll, it was so good! The best part of that trip though was the locals. I will never forget the old man who suddenly stopped in his tracks when he overheard us say "7eleven" and told us were going the wrong way and graciously pointed us to the right direction. We didn't even realized we're lost! The Taiwanese people we met were all so friendly and kind and I'm glad you enjoyed your trip there.

I rode on Diamond Princess from San Diego, CA to Yokohama, Japan last year between February 2023 and March 2023. Lovely ship. I love seeing it thriving back in its home and I love that my first time experiencing Japan was by riding a transpacific crossing on board this beautiful ship :)

I really enjoyed watching your video. Just by coincidence, my wife and I were on the next Diamond Princess cruise that boarded the day you got back to Yokohama. Of course, our cruise was cut a day short, but the typhoon had passed outside the region and we had good weather on our six day cruise that stopped at Nagasaki, Kagoshima, Busan, and Omaesaki. Princess reimbursed us for the extra day's hotel accommodations and one day of lost sailing time. On the other hand, it really looked like you received great deal on your Balcony stateroom. Keep up the great videos!

Naha looks a lot more modern now, than when I was there from 92-94. Hope your wish comes true. The peanut ice cream roll looked tasty. The tour in Taiwan looked like fun, except way too much walking for me.

Arigato for the brief glimpse of Okinawa. In 1965 I arrived at Naha port as a 5 year old (after a thyphoon hit our ship before our stop in Yokohama!). I left in 1970, just before reversion. How amazing to see how much it has changed. I remember when a 3 story department store was built in Naha. It was a thrill to visit just to be able to ride an escalator-the first on the island. 😂 If you go again, plan time at the beaches, they are stunning. The water is warm.

Did you enjoy the aroma of “Stinky Tofu” in Jiufen? They make great pottery there. The Tai dong is a wonderful site especially at night during the lantern festival so many wishes hope and desires and the last one I released was in memory of a very dear friend who died. You had a wonderful cruise I wish one day to be able emulate your route and journey. Thank you for sharing your experiences

Hi, just to say this was very relaxing to watch.....never knew I would enjoy a video with no narration just subtitles and the original sound this much. One question, during the bus tour, the guide spoke only japanese? What happens if you are not familiar with japanese? Wow that was awesome trip especially taking in the sights of Taiwan and Okinawa. The food in Shifen and Jiufen looked really yummy. What kind of tea did you get in Jiufen? What was the time difference between Yokohama, Japan and Taiwain? Just curious. Thanks for sharing your video.
What a great trip and great experience on cruise, and yeah same cruise but with different room and different experiences onboard. From visiting Okinawa and Taiwan, can't docked in Ishigaki, and getting typhoon upon arrival, this should be unforgettable moments in your life.

It's interesting that you were served green tea in Keelung when Oolong/wulong/烏龍 tea is the most famous in Taiwan.

コロナ前にダイヤモンドプリンセスで同じような日程の9日間のクルーズに行きましたが、九分のみの観光だけでこの動画のようなツアーはありませんでした 天候にも恵まれ参加ツアーの内容も楽しそうですね 私の時はどんよりした小雨まじりの日でお寺ともう一ヵ所兵隊さんのセレモニーをみてお土産屋に連れていかれ本当につまらなかった台湾トリップの記憶しかないです

What a great trip and great experience on cruise, and yeah same cruise but with different room and different experiences onboard. From visiting Okinawa and Taiwan, can't docked in Ishigaki, and getting typhoon upon arrival, this should be unforgettable moments in your life.
It's interesting that you were served green tea in Keelung when Oolong/wulong/烏龍 tea is the most famous in Taiwan.

素晴らしい旅行記ですね、私自身が旅をしているようで楽しかったです、最後には台風迄おまけ付とは？。 さて冗談は置いといて、船旅は少し高くてもベランダ付きのお部屋が良いですね、そしてダイヤモンドプリンセス＋のコースは充実していて何かと便利で優雅、私も動画を拝見させて頂きそう思いました。 船旅という事で私の学生の卒業旅行として(今から６０年位前)友人と２人で全コース船で晴海ふ頭⇔鹿児島経由⇔沖縄の那覇、其れから船が３００tクラスと小さめで宮古島を経て石垣島迄の全コース船旅をしましたが、晴海ふ頭から那覇までの船は３０００ｔクラスのでが、沖縄は当時はアメリカが統治(パスポートの代わりに佐藤栄作総理の印が押してある身分証明書が必要)していたので貨幣はドルで１ドルが３６０円でした、学生でお金が無いので2等学割の船底に近い大部屋で昼に出てきた食事がラーメン(笑)です、そうゆう貧乏旅行が今となっては懐かしく古き良き時代でした。 其れから私は台湾は１９回ほど訪れていますの十份と九份のツアーを選ばれたのは良かったと思います、時間がない中あれだけ楽しめたのですから、それと以前の動画で猫島の投稿を拝見したのですが、台湾にも猫島ならぬ猫村が有るんですよ、十份に近い所(猴硐駅)の駅周辺の山間部にある猫村ですが放し飼いの野良猫ちゃんが約100匹のいて癒されますよ、私も猫が大好きでこの猫村は２回ほど訪れました、猫好きの方は是非どうぞ。
