It doesn't need to be confirmed that IKYWT is about Harry. It's clearly not. This song was written in the time frame of 2010-mid 2012, (mid 2012 being the latest because Taylor would need time to complete writing the song, record it, and master the recorded track), so there's no way it could be about Harry, and I'm tired of people saying it could even POSSIBLY be about him.

That's what I always heard and it wouldn't make sense for it to be about Harry Styles because they dated in late 2012 to early 2013, and I Knew You Were Trouble was released as a single in like November of 2012 I'm pretty sure and the song would've had to have been written months in advanced. So unless they dated before all of this happened, it wouldn't make sense for the song to be about Harry Styles.
