You are smart, strong and very capable of handling the upcoming changes like a boss! I can't wait to see what the next year brings into your life! Get yourself a cute little apartment, decorate, dance, act, and embrace being single for a while! I think everyone should have their own place for at least a year. I had my own apartment in my early 20s and it was wonderful to have the freedom to do what I wanted, when I wanted, and go where I wanted with zero responsibility to notify anyone, or compare schedules, etc. Embrace this season of life and make the most of it! 😘

I'm so sorry about the breakup Lucia! Was in a really similar situation as you, was broken up with 3 months ago by my now ex-bf who I lived with, it's really tough but time really does heal! So glad to see you've got supportive friends around you and that you're taking care of yourself!!

Went through the same thing after college. Moved in with my gf and we made it 10 months into our lease together. Also just went through a breakup last June after moving to Chicago. Together for 4 years was awful going through that breakup. Keep doing healthy things to keep you busy. I can’t say I did the same, but wish I would have. You’re going to have times where you forget and times you can’t forget. Lots of ups and downs but time heals all. Hang in there

Gonna watch the vid & hear ya out on everything now. I know you are a very strong person & have it in you to find ways to get through it. I read these two books back in my 20s after a painful breakup and it really helped me get back into my normal self again. Hope you try it and it helps. I feel bad for gals who get into a relationship in high school or college/get married to that person, and then never experience single life in their 20s. It is honestly the best time to realize who you are on your own, have some fun, and just enjoy that freedom. It might seem hard now, but it's a blessing in disguise! Also, Sweet Mandy B's is the BEST Chicago bakery in my opinion.

It's hard for you to see the other side because a relationship is all you've known, but there is a difference in single freedom and relationship freedom (to each their own though). You could be with this person for the rest of your life or you could break up next week, regardless of how secure you think the relationship is, you really never know because that's how life is sometimes. And that's okay!
