First projector I ever had around 1948. My first film was 'Brumas - polar maid'. 30ft. reels were 5/- (25p) and 60ft. were 9/6 (47p) Local photo and Chemist shops had drawers full of titles. Treat them carefully and they'd last forever, and, with sensible use, didn't damage films. Pathescope Monthly listed new films coming out. An exciting time indeed.

In our school days we had built one working projector with motor. Worked very well. This was in 1980's....Problem was we didn't have enough film reels to run. We used to run the same reel and show it to our friends.....

Thanks for this....I have My Father's Pathescope and I was looking for how to set it up.

Try to make film using transparent plastic strips ,using some color pens I done this in my school times and make 1.5 minute Charlie Chaplin cartoon film

Imagine the guy that had to do it with the 5 hour 1927 Napoleon movie

It’s a 9.5mm film; it lacked sprockets on the edge(s), instead placing one set of rectangular, narrow sprocket holes down the center of the film, in between the frames (where the frame lines would be). A rare and interesting format, indeed!

Então em 1930 tinha que contratar uma pessoa só pra ficar alí na manivela enquanto as pessoas assistiam ao filme. Hoje 2021 o cinema chega por sinal de internet. Ainda bem que a tecnologia evoluiu.
