for those of you who 1. "have better equipment", good for you 2. "wanted the order of the comparison to be different or to see different things". I literally gave time stamps in the intro. Buy your scoping equipment and go look at things in the order you want 3. are "doubting the distances". not much I can do to convince you 4. "wanted me to do a voiceover" - I tried. The video would have been over 18 minutes long. 5. Dislike because it's the metric system - If I had used imperial, others would be hating precisely because of that. It seems we just can't win when we post a video. 5. just "don't like the video", have a nice day (not sarcasm).

honestly, it would be better of to just use the imperial system as it has been proven time again to be the most useful measurement system, the metrics are only used by third worlders anyway

You did an awesome job. This is a must see for people that are shopping, and the companies should thank you as it will reduce returns as well as sell to the right people. I actually have 2 binoculars, one monocular and just bought a spotting scope (unboxed it yesterday). As a KZreadr myself, I noticed haters too, don't let them bother you. Thanks for helping and for your time.
People don't realize the amount of time and work that gets put into one video especially with details. Thanks for the video 🙂

Thanks for sharing!

Excellent equipment for terrestrial observations. The tripod support for fixing optical instruments and the smartphone for filming is also very good. I also have a levenhuk 10x42 monocular, a 15X 56 HD Diamondback binocular and a 20-60x82 Vanguard ground scope at home. Parabéns pelo vídeo amigo, muito obrigado, estou a procura de um Spotting Scope com razoável qualidade ainda que um pouco mais caro. Gostaria de utiliza-lo primeiramente para observações terrestres. Pensei no VisionKing 30x90x100mm. Você acha que compensa ou é melhor investir um pouco mais em um scope de menor abertura com lentes ED?

Thank you for the support. People generally expect video creators to guess exactly what they want to see and if the video isn't that, they get angry. Of course some videos have huge mistakes or deceitful clickbait, but I don't think this is the case here.
Nice video, I have one question. Do you see black part of picture when you look with your own eyes? Ive never looked through spotting scope or anything close to that, but now I want to buy one. Actualy I have almost same as yours on my mind, 25-75x70 levenhuk blaze. Is overall quality of picture good when you look through it by yourself, not with the camera?

Thanks. Quality is better without the camera. I do see the black part with the scope, but not with the binoculars. I am not familiar with the brand you want to buy. I know my own svbony, and I've heard visionking makes good scopes.

I am surprised by how drastic 8x vs 10x is but the minimal effect of 10x vs 25x on most of these photos. The first red car one was good but no where what you would expect from a 15x more magnification compared to 10x binoculars

I see disclaimers on a lot of product pages and even in manuals, saying that the numbers are approximations. I think the inconsistencies in field of view between each product also contrinute to an illusion of the differences being bigger or smaller than they are. Your observation is interesting for sure.
Nice vid. I have a question, is a 10x50 binocular enough for minor stargazing? Or should i go for a 350x refractor telescope.

@thiagofeltrin9841

Hello my friend! It will depend on the way you need to use it. For long spotting more numbers before de X will be better, like the 80 you've mentioned. The lens will have a direct impact on the result of your image, for example a 50x50 is better than a 50x40. Both will show the same distance to you, but the 50x50 will have a clearer and brighter image. I hope this explanation will help you, best regards!

90mm lens can give sharp image at 180x magnification. 100m no doubt, dont buy below then 60mm aperture. the bigger aperture the better contrast you will get. because it will catch more light. so if you like to watch long range object, take that 80x100 . or else 80mm and above.

Hopefully you see this before I end up making my decision..... I'll ask my question 1st...I prefer zoom lens period. Best way to go for me. Can you help me by giving me some advice on what is a good pair of binos with a zoom to use for getting close up to the moon without spending over $100. More so under $75-$80 if possible. I do enjoy my Jason's but they need repairs and I'm just looking for something similar and newer. What do you suggest? As for my story.... I am a avid moon gazer. I have all different lens strengths (lack of better words) i have 3 celestron binos 20x80 & 15x35x70 & 20x50. I also have a bushnell 20x50 and a vintage Jason 8x10x50 (I know its 8x and I believe their a x10x50) Out off all of these the absolute best pair I love using to this day are the vintage Jason 8x10x50 ones. Damn. What a beautiful image at its largest mag. When I put it in the 10x spot I can count the craters on the moon (figure of speech although I could) both celestrons delivered came unalined and was not even viewable as the one with the zoom was blurry no matter how I tried to adjust each side. The other pair the one side is clear and the other side is always blurry and it's not my eyes, the bushnell is also a vintage and I bought it at a salvation army for $8 and since day one only one side worked. Now that I think about it I wonder if it need to be collimated. One more question. I know if I can get the ones that are blurry collimated I will have a couple pairs of decent binos. However the lack my my enthusiasm for whatever reason I just never contacted the company and went about getting them fixed. So now its up to me. I see many videos on KZread on how to collimate binos and I've heard that its more difficult then I would expect and is the reason why I never done it yet. But now I'm like lacking in funds and just dont have the extra money to take these in so I need to try myself. With your own experience can you tell me is it complicated or is it something I'd be able to handle? I know their is something said about literally adjusting the lens by pushing it a certain way. If that's the case I'm probably screwed. I'll mess it up. Anyway I've taken up enough space with all this so if maybe you could just give me some suggestions on zoom lens binos to view the moon without having to deal with my 7 to 9 pounds of massive other binos. Thank you. Btw YOUR VIDEO IS THE BEST VIDEO IVE SEEN ON HERE GIVING BEAUTIFUL DETAILS ON HOW THEY WORK AND GIVING US GREAT EXAMPLES BY HANDS ON. THANK YOU

for this, you can get 60x magnification scope at least, i dont know why this vid cant make it, but acctually you can see the moon better than this vid. you can see the chaters,for orion nebula iam not sure. but for moon its sure,i had used this one before. btw try to buy scope with FMC full multi coated. this will give you more clear image.

@FunMan125
Жыл бұрын
Can you link me to where you saw that? It looks like it's referring to the field of view, meaning that looking at scene 8000m away, you will have a 66m diameter of field of view. For example, looking at a 66m long airplane 8000m away, the plane would only just fit in your viewing area. But that seems way too small. That's why I wanted to know where you saw it, to make sure that's really what they mean.

Why mono have large field of view
@lukasHenchman
3 жыл бұрын
because less zoom, and monocular is shorter, the scope is longer, the longer it is the better it is with magnification, but the longer it is the more narrow the field of view gets, it would need to be 25-75x150 instead of 20x75-80 if you want it to have wider field of view, bigger aperture helps

if you are going to compare things, focus on one thing, don't go here and there. always be at the center of what you are looking at. to avoid this kind of mistake, use the farthest one first and focus on what you think you want to make subject. then go less but keep the same subject focused. that way people watching your content watch it naturally and don't get confused on what they are looking at. you are focusing on non moving object anyway. keep it up.
