At a rally organized by students, Yvonne Shen, an Idaho 8th grader, explained the potential harmful consequences of Idaho House bill 377. The bill seeks to restrict classroom discussions of social justice, critical race theory and accurate history of racial discrimination. After the rally, students filed into the Senate chambers gallery to watch the legislature pass the bill on a mostly party line, with all Democrats opposing.
