Had a great childhood growing up on Pepys through the 70s, so much has changed.
when the blocks were linked up it was a nightmare for police

I will look it up! 👊🏿
I lived on the Pepys Estate in the early 70s!
Lived there for 38 years, loved pepys in the 90’s
Saw what used to be my old block, barfleur house, grew up there many years ago, changed so much.
It would be great to find pictures and footage from the 80s n 90s of these places and compare.

I remember ferrier estate back in the 90s proper trenches 💯
I remember watching the documentary the tower a tale of two cities. Has the whole area being through regeneration/gentrification.
Fine lad in his Millwall kit :)
Spent my young days here
I would recommend Woodberry Doen, Manor House but it’s basically all demolished by now 😥

Bellingham is the arse end of Downham estate where it crosses over from Bromley to Lewisham, used to box at the boys club once upon a time and trust me some of the most violent fighting pubs were in and around Downham estate.
Aye that me block eddy
Pepys ain't the hood anymore, they practically knocked everything down.
Is Pepys Housing Office in Eddystone Tower?

Back in the day these south london estates were terrible dangerous.run down. But had great people and great community. You cant compare to nowadays .all the eyesores have nearly all gone. Some of them concrete jungles in south were as big as a whole postcode. Great videos T/c 👊
