I left mine plugged in last night (XRT/max6g2/6700 4s) A cell dropped to 2.8 and my ezpeak dual live charger light indicated voltage to low like yours. 7 seconds on my 12v 2a trickle charger w/ some wire leads I made to slide in got me going again! I appreciate your upload!

Bro, I just recieved two LIPO 6700 batteries and one would not charge. It is Christmas Eve and they were in the mailbox all day until I got home figured it was a low voltage issue. I got my trickle charger out and followed what you said, worked perfect...thanks brother.

I had the same problem with my X-MAXX. It always runs the batteries down lower than the cut off. So I bought a different charger and did trickle charge on it. Thanks for the video. I made my own connectors though. You made me very nervous for a few mins there. Again thanks for the idea to do this

Update.. both batteries just burned up while on charger..

You can also charge on NiMh for about 20 seconds. I’ve done that with these traxxas ID 4s batteries 3 times already and it works great.

@@jack95670 I tried changing mode too with the 6700 batteries. No luck. Maybe because of the ID connectors? Wonder if Traxxas would do a battery swap? I only ran my Xmaxx a few times and didnt realize leaving the batteries in the rig would drain them to the point of the charger not recognizing them.

Wow, you're amazing I am so glad I found your you tub video. I left my Traxxas 5000 lipo plug in my unlimited Desert racer and went to plug them into the charger and they were dead, the charger would not recognize them. So after viewing your video I went to get garage and got my auto charger and put it on 2 amps put 2 Allen ranch into the battery and red to red and back to back and count to ten. They I when and plug them into the Traxxas charger and the both are now recognized and when through a full charge.... Thanks you save me 250.00.

Just put the charger in storage mode and run it for a lil but then your all good to go You will live longer this way, 👍

Michael Shawley could you run by me on that again so the unit that you hook the lipo to is that another charger from an auto parts store, what kind of charger do i need to buy and by doing this you are resetting the charging memory on the lipo? I have the same traxxas lipos and charger as you in the video for my Xmaxx. As soon as i plug in any of the lipos it would show battery chemistry error on charger status then on charge info on one of the lipos would show cell 1 voltage: 0.0v, cell 2 voltage: 0.0v, cell 3 voltage: 3.9V, and cell 4 voltage: 3.8v. The second lipo pack i hooked up is about close to the same as well. I ran them on full charge in the truck a month ago and let it sit in the truck since then. The lipos are not that old probably about 10 full runs on them. Let me know what you think i hate to blow money on a new set of lipo 4s packs and they're not cheap. Also when you stick that allen key into one end of that lipo connector how about wrapping electrical tape around it to be safe, what you're doing is dangerous being too close between the negative and positive ports like that, thats crazy what you did there i don't care how careful you are anything could happen, you could slip and cross contact the polarity.

So my batteries were super drained and I followed your instruction. I had to leave mine on trickle charger for quite a bit as it was only showing 2 cells on the batteries. They are now charging on the ez peak charger! I used a $20 everlasting 1A battery charger and maintainer from Walmart with some taped alligator clips connected to the charger clamps.

I bought this same charger at Walmart today. I’m finding it’s taking a lot longer. How long did you connect it for? I’m going on about a minute and only 3 of 4 cells are charging 0.0-2.1-1.7-1.4

Great Video, I'm in this low point in my battery life that needs intervention.

I did something similar to this. Used a 5v 2amp wall charger. Saved my brand new losi rock rey battery that I only had for a week. When I did this I had a multimeter connected to the battery to monitor voltage.

Thanks fella! Totally saved my "flat as a witches tit" battery. I gave mine a jolt from a car battery charger on trickle. Needed a couple of (4) restarts on peak plus but then charged all the way up on balance. Thanks again. Subscribed!

Whats happening is 1 of the cells has gone under 3.2v. Charging in nimh mode doesn't have the safety checks like lipo mode and just brings that cell over 3.2v so lipo charger can now see that cell and charge it

Did this with a traxxas nimh charger, plugged into the lipo for 5 mins, then plugged the lipo into the ez fast charger and boom its charging it again. Hope i didnt just destroy it for good 😮‍💨
