8RX at Country Crest

We got a look at the first 8RX on Irish soil when it was on demo with Country Crest. Thomas tells us his thoughts on the 410 model and why they were so keen to trial this machine.

The 410 now has EVT which acts like an IVT, but made for 400+ hp. So this guy can have an 8rx 410 with command pro. It has the added benefit of offloading electricity to an implement. If I were to guess, I think IVT is on way out and EVT will be used instead moving forward.
nice kit big wheels and tracks do have a great positive effect and is better but 20tons is still 20tons on the soil and it will compact. bigger footprint means it will go deeper infact but the compaction force will be lower and more spread out which is a good thing. - i'm currently in a 3y eu wide thingy thats gonna focus and research on compaction etc in modern agriculture and already on the first gathering i learned alot of new stuff with how its all affects eachother and what kind of compromise is best for your conditions etc.

Am I right in saying the 8rx has a John Deere made engine and not Cummins

Cold have had a caseih or new holland 400 with the tracks on rear for 10yrs now! All for $350k usd. The 8t4x is 600k usd. Stupid!
Another one for mother deere to keep going because they still refuse to let the farmer work on there own tractor I have no problem buying the old ones 7810 4440 4430 4020 but the new ones can stay at mother deere
