In this 8K UHD video of Switzerland, we present the cable car / gondola journey from Zermatt (Zermatt Bergbahnen AG station) to matterhorn glacier paradise situated on Klein Matterhorn mountain peak. At an altitude of 3883 metres, the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise is the Europe’s highest mountain station. It can be reached from Zermatt in a journey time of around 40 minutes, including two changes.

I’ve been to Switzerland countless times for work and holidays, but I had only 5 times the perfect weather. Perfect weather in June means there were a couple of bad days with snow on the mountains just before you arrive but you walk under a blue sky. Perfect weather in September means it snowed during the night but you wake up under a blue sky. The spectacle of the melting snow on the coloured autumn leaves is breathtakingly beautiful. Thank you for your video. It brought back some very happy memories.

Fantastic video...thanks for sharing. I was in Zermatt for one day in late September and wanted to go to both, so Matterhorn Paradise in the morning to early afternoon and Gornergrat in the mid-late afternoon, Both were spectacular in their own way.

Was just there 2 weeks ago, not sure if your planning on skiing but the summer skiing is not good there the best time is from when the lifts open to maybe 11am, after that it's slushy and not groomed/packed anyway. Before I got there they claimed to have 8 trails open and got there and was 2 trails and both had to go up an unbelievably high trail just to get back to the lift so be prepared to do 60mph to get up that hill or you will be side stepping, not good trails at all. Winter on the other hand would be amazing. The Glacier Paradise ice cave is awesome, the small restaurant is packed get there early for seats. Be prepared to pull out your pass to scan 5 times going up and everytime you get on a chair lift and 5 times going back down...rediculous....from Denton Tx.

Alle 1000 m bin ich ausgestiegen und habe mich für 20-30 min an die Höhe aklimatisiert, bevor ich die nächste Höhe genommen habe. So kann man als Im Flachland Lebender recht gut die 4.000 m ohne Atemprobleme erreichen.

Beautiful scenery at one of the most famous mountains in the world. KZread commercials interrupted it every 3-4 minutes making this unwatchable, too bad.
How much do we need to go at the top and come back down to Zermatt ? Can it be covered as a half day trip ?

Yes, it can be covered in a half day with some rushing at few spots.
Feel like getting altitude sickness. Also there isnt Peak2Peak choice in Sep. Then perhaps only Gornergrat cogwheel train is the one to take if only one day in Zermatt.

@@AKSense most Swiss who live there says, the view from Sunnega and Rothorn is even better which most tourist don't know about.
How much it will cost to Glacier Paradise from Zermmett and if you have the 4 days Swiss Travel pass how much you have to pay for the ride on the top of the Glacier Paradise

I have a question. Matterhorn has an altitude of 4478 m while Jungfraujoch has an altitude of 4158m. Then how is jungfraujoch the highest point of Europe ? Is it not Matterhorn then ? Can you clarify

No Jungfraujoch is at 3454 m high, it is the highest Train Station in Europe. It is the Jungfrau next top the Jungfraujoch that has an altitude of 4158 m.

This Cable car station name and address is “Zermatt Bergbahnen AG, Schluhmattstrasse, Zermatt”. You can reach this station by about 18-20 minutes walk (1.4 kilometers) from Zermatt train station. OR take 16 minutes bus ride (line # 572) from Zermatt train station to Kapelle Winkelmatten stop, and then walk for ~ 4 mins to the Cable car station.
