This guy is the Sherlock Holme of the English! The way he explain things are quite remarkable.
A great idea to add some sounds/effects to the story. It really helped me immerse myself in the narrative, especially when I listened to it. Additionally, the list of vocabulary with short explanations on your website is incredibly useful! Thank you, Luke
This teacher is so perfect I love his method of teaching thank you a lot luck 😊
Luke, thank you for the wonderful story, which has elements of entertainment and education, as always🙂. How to interpret the ending of the story? Optimist's version: In romantic stories with a happy ending, explosions accompany the lovers' kisses. Moderate optimist's version😉: In the real world, conflict persists and explosions signify a war, which Edward had no idea about in the Simulation.
The best teacher ever!!!
I have this sense back in my mind you would be great actor

Hi Luke, a big thank you for your videos I always switch the speed for 0.75 and repeat after you as I really want to develop the British accent. At the moment I’m learning how to fix my accent with help of another Luke Nicholson, so both Lukes are helping me, thank you guys.

Hello, I'm just a Brazilian guy, who wants to take the IELTS test, to try to study in Canada. I found her channel in the description of another channel, the girl seemed very happy, and she said she had listened to more than 10,000 minutes of her podcasts, in order to improve listening.
Outstanding episode, with loads of C2 vocabulary. Thank you.

Excellent, excellent, excellent class
Great episode, Luke. Far beyond a simple language teaching. Keep going pls. Even after the explosion s start. Thank you.
Hi Luke, I really like your teaching.
Hi Luke, I really love this story! I enjoyed every moment of your presentation even though I'm normally not a science fiction fan. I was quite surprised to hear that it was mostly written by AI and would like to know more about the changings you've made. I also ignored that AI could create such a poetic language. For me the story is perfect as it is now, with the final sentence you added. The open end leaves the possibility to each listener to have his own interpretation. That's probably the reason why a lot of people might love it.
you are just amazing everybody should listen your podcast.❤❤
Tons of thanks. It's a great adventurous story. Love it.
I have a feeling that the woman is not real, but a product of his imagination, after years of him being alone. The line 'I'm real' kind of hints that he's trying to convince himself of her existence. The story feels a bit like 'Fight Club', where the main character conjures up a whole new identity. Plus, the explosions at the end reinforce my idea, I think :>

The story with no end, but very deep and instructive...
In my opinion, it was a salute to the end of this story. I personally really like Conan Doyle's stories in your performance. But thank you very much for your such useful work in learning English for people from all over the world.🌍👏
Thank you so much Luke🥰🥰

Great lessons! Thank you
Thx for this story with deep sense! As beeing in a relationship similar right now, my hint is: the end doesn’t refer to a boom that destroys houses ;)
so perfect and amazing, i really enjoyed it
Great lesson! I enjoyed the story created by you with the help of AI. I love science fiction. Thank you, dear teacher Luke! ❤❤❤
I love they way You explain they stories!
This story is at a very high level of English for advanced students. As an ESL teacher, I have learned not to overload students with too many words. Also out of the thousands of English words, choose words which are useful everyday. For example, when would an English speaker use the word “stir” in the sense move? Rarely! The story you have chosen is literary and highly descriptive this predominantly uses words which are not of a high frequency in everyday English. Stories are a great way to learn English but please choose a lower level vocabulary of common useful 42:32 words. For example “a sprawling metropolis” is not going to be heard or spoken by a student learning English unless they are aiming at a university level.

I am familiar with the principles you are talking about and as an English teacher this always factors into my teaching in classrooms. With these episodes I am doing something slightly different. Allowing learners of English to enjoy and also understand a piece of literature read out orally. There is also a place for this in people’s English learning. Variety and a multi-stranded approach to language learning and teaching covers many bases. Also, with your comment you’re assuming that every learner is at an intermediate level and that vocabulary beyond the most common words is not useful, interesting or worth learning. The story is quite literary but this is because it is a piece of literature. I also do plenty of episodes with more conversational spoken English.
Great. Thank You
Thank you!!!❤
The last line can mean that actually the aim of the mysterious girl was to destroy the world and Edward was just her weapon. There was no simulation at all. Everything was absolutely real. The frozen bird was a visual illusion invented to misslead Edward. The end of the world.....Brrrr😅
It's really a long lesson but it's worth to be patient and see it to the end...❤❤
Great story, very well acted out by an experienced reader.thanks for your thorough explanations to fully get te story. Julio, retied teacher from Dolores.Argentina.
Thanks for your time, it was an informative lesson 🙏🏼
I loved your story, the poetic words, the intriguing situation and the open end, where the reader can choose the final picture. I follow you since long ago, and I think that I have learnt a lot from you. I met Christian Sounders after you interviewed him and also Matt. We were waiting for you at the last English retreat in Gran Canaria. I was recently in Paris, I wanted to meet you but I didn't know how to do it. Greetings from Chile
Thank you for your lessons 😊
Hi luke. Thanks for your efforts and good luck for your forecoming evening. Open finals are just open. It' s up to you to give a sense to them. They change with your mood of the moment. You read the story many times and you give the final a sense according to your changing mind. Endless meanings for endless new outcomings from your continuing changing thouths. An explosion of new finals Bye, bbyyee bbbyyyee
A good speaker. Thank you very much!

If I were in charge of a simulated world, I would definitely address odd socks, people never inserting the USB in the right way at first try, people missing just one glove in winter, rain right after wash the car, and printer jamming in crucial moments.
Nice effects! 😎
Very nice!
Thanks!
👏 thank so much ❤ excellent!!!
Welldone, Luke.
