What a heck of a little drone, Dave! I'm still surprised with it! 😃 It should be a great budget option for any youtuber! (My buying list is still a bit big... But who knows in the future. 😬) Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

Love this drone Dave but not surprising it didn't go very far on WiFi. Obviously no where near 3km. Looks like it went half a km which is fine for the price. Funny how most of these budget brands greatly exaggerate the distance in the telemetry lol

Yeah it will read pretty accurate up to the first 100m then go bezerk and the distance counter goes too fast giving false readings to fool people they are flying further than they really are. That's why they state BS ranges of 3000m or more as the telemetry will go that far easily within maybe 600m in reality I'm guessing based on this flight test.

Yes it seems deliberate to go with the exagerrated claims of range online. I've had that happen with a number of drones now, that's why I like to test them like this

Yeah the tello can go pretty far with the wifi repeater, i actually haven't flown mine is ages, all my batteries for it are stuffed and only last a few short minutes... thanks for watching mate 👍

I wish they would disable the loud BEEP from the controller. My L900pro SE has the same beeper and it drives me nuts.

Is the horizon tilt an issue for this drone? I've seen a couple of videos that seem to have an unlevel horizon

During my whole flight test review video the gimbal had no issues at all, the horizon was quite straight and level, however during home return on this distance test you can see it tilted, not sure why that happened

Este drone no aleja más porque está limitado por firmware, su distancia es aproximadamente 500 m y de ahí aún teniendo control se frena. Para ampliar la distancia habría que cambiar el firmware y no sé cómo hacerlo

Yes once it gets say past 100m then telemetry goes nuts and reads too fast, I thought it may be converting to feet but it's still very inaccurate, since the read out on the transmitter was well over 2000m, it still flew short of that in Feet, you may have heard me say that during this test before I hit return to home button. Just another sneaky way of these companies trying to fool consumers. Had it happen with quite a few of these cheap gps drones now. Altitude is correct yep! Thanks for watching 👍

500 meters is still not too bad considering the camera is alot better than the L900pro.

Yes it will return home, all gps drones do these days when they lose signal

If you convert the distance he traveled into feet, will it be correct? Try this. Devices sometimes measure distance as horizontal altitude (as incredible as it may seem)

Yeah seemed to be on this flight, but had no issues since or on my initial review video before this one, it was flawless

500 m is plenty of range for a cheap drone with a good camera I don't understand why they need to deliberately make it report false distance.
