Had my dropped mini nissan truck with the tunnel cover house speakers bumping alpine with the Amps lit up...adjustable side mirrors colored windshield wipers. .truck club we were Diamonds forever meet up cruise whittier and sundays n el monte...Hollywood blvd hitting up Florentine Gardens n Mr Js...house music or power 106 yup yup... worked at circuit city in montibello...these were my best days of my life...I remember getting my first alarm thought I was fresh cuz of it lol

Now it’s Bags, LS swaps and the biggest rims you can tuck but I sure wouldn’t mind owning a period correct mini truck with pastel paint some wide 15s and a tilt bed with a camper shell..this is what I grew up thinking was cool..it’d be awesome to see this make a comeback unfortunately it probly won’t be in my lifetime..Thanks for sharing 👌🏻💪🏻

Oh wow, my old club, Moving Violations Long Beach Ca (I was in 1984-1990). I think I was CNG (National Guard) drill that weekend. The tan truck ( I won't give last names) was Dennis, the candy purple with chrome Ronal R9s is Conelius (Jr), Toyota (white) is Arnel, The blue with the True Wires is a kid (he was only 19), Geraldo, he's a CHP motor cop now. The mazda, I don't know, maybe a hanger on or someones friend. The best thing about our club is we were all from LB and different races. Asian (Japanese, Vietnamese, Filipino, Thai) Black, Latino one white cat names Sean who was from Cypress but his Dad lived in LB. We had one cat from Canada who was a student at CSLB who spoke french and he fixed up his truck within two weeks! He had wealthy parents in Montreal. His name is Henry, he drove a toyota xtra cab turbo (red) with a no window snug top (club requirment, no windows then) and Riken Raiders 8"x15" with Perrelli P7 205/50 series. Hahaha. I still remember all those details. Oh, he had a .45 fosgate amp powering two twelves in his cab six by nines and mids and tweets in the kick panels and doors. Alpine pullout and eq, he was also the first to get a Diamond Tel Cell phone in his truck! Thing is, he saw our meeting at Burger King on LB Blvd and Willow and asked if he could join the club if he had a truck. We said sure but at the time, he drove up in a new 1988 BMW 635 CSI red with 16 inch black Epsilon wheels! 7 in the front and 8" on the back with two beach babes from the OC. Real autobahn burner. Back then, that car was $50K! So we didn't take him seriously. Henry is now a CEO of the largest commercial bakery in Toronto. The times we had and when he spoke french, the jainas he could pull! He learned to speak Spanish from his on and off girl friend who was from La Puente. Hahaha. Sorry for the long story but your upload brought back some great memories.

@@omoran04 Yeh we did, most of the ones I know of don't have their trucks. The only one is a guy named Kevin. He lived accross the street from Bruno Falcon. Madonna's old choreographer and Tony Basil's ex bf in Long Beach. Kevin's truck is still in that same house, in the garage. He's a international chef for Marriot Corp. He's worked in Paris, London, Amsterdam, Switzerland, Italy, Hong Kong, Singapore and he's currently in Perth Au. Good dude. He had a candy burgundy 1985 Nissan King Cab, no window Snug with a rag top on the roof of the cab and the Snug with Double diamond one pump setup. Chrome Ronal R9 (still on the truck) before that he had Six big hole Enkei's 15-8 and before that Riken Raiders, 15-8 Yeh, I'm in touch with alot of of the fellas. I blasted a email to look up your KZread page, many of us aren't on social media. It's just not our deal I guess.

@@omoran04 You guys have some firme trucks too man. I really don't remember your club back in the day. Our main rivals were Ultimate Versions and Mini Racers. Those two clubs vandalized our trucks at least two different times. Ultimate Versions drove by our weekly meeting once at the Burger King on LB Blvd and Willow st and threw wine cooler bottles at our trucks. Hahaha. I never understood the beef back then. I think it was over Jainas really... As thy say in the hood, no disrespect to Jainas but "bitches can get you killed." Another reason with Mini Racers could be our club's president was close to the President of California's Finest Snugs, remember that crew from LA? But despite that It was a cool time. Looks like you guys are holding on to that good vibe. I'm happy for all of you, keep it up.

You never know, looking back at VW car scenes it died down early 90’s and now they’re everywhere Again people are restoring them and show them off.

I MISS MY MINI TRUCK. . THOSE WERE THE BEST TIMES. .. A LOT OF HOOKING UP WITH THE GIRLS.... ..AND CRUZ ..... KNIGHTS. ....HOUSE PARTY'S .... TODAY NOT LIKE IT WAS. .. BUT RICERS ON THE STREETS. .

I was a 720 fan ..but I owned a lowered green and tan s 10 due to my dad working for GM his entire adult life ..he didnt want me to mod it but i did anyway and he had to admit it looked good(he was scared it would be stolen from me though) my homie next door had a Hardbody on 14's..also had a el camino a box caprice and nissan 280z at one point

I remember working on them Isuzu trucks. The owners used to hate that the rear ends were a bit more narrower than the front, so wider rims or wheel spacers were needed. Otherwise they had a funky offset.. good times!

I got an 1988 s10 in pristine condition rallye wheels cowl induction hood pinstriped got it all....noway i would sell or trade it for todays junk. And trust i have tons of offers on my truck lol

I knew someone with a Chevy S10 minitruck around the same time frame. Minitrucks were in back then.
