I said to my husband when I left your van " I've just met the loveliest man!" It was an absolute delight chatting with you. Thanks so much for mentioning me ❤

Letting your festival wild side loose, then David😁
Really enjoyed this one. Of course you needed a nap, you SOCIALIZED. You were drained.
Oh David, what would the world do without us introverts. 😂 At least you're not shy in front of the camera, we would miss yr humor.😊
I think you are a little like me. I really do enjoy chatting to people, but only for so long. I am happy in my own company, with a good book. Nothing wrong with that in my opinion! Great Vlog, enjoyed it!😀
With all the rubbish that is going on in the UK, you bring peace and quiet into our lives. Thanks for the two vlogs David. 🇦🇺🙏👍
What would we do without you? Oh,and why in heavens name are you not on mainstream telly? Your canal rebuild videos are simply a joy and the boat rebuild is delightful. Please keep it going. Thank you

A Vandemonium AND a Cruising the Cut video, all in the same day? Lucky us!
That video felt like a delightful blend of a rainy afternoon, a dry wit, and a spontaneously erupting Benny hill (Peggy) scene, pure British gold.
You and I are the opposite way around. You say you have difficulty interacting with people yet you are such a confident presenter. Me, I can chin wag until the cows come home, but I'm rubbish in front of a camera 😂
My view is there is that in this society, value is inappropriately weighted on being sociable obviously nice to be nice and it has an evolutionary and practical function which has been capitalised upon, but no one should have to put themselves too far out of there comfort zone in what is probably our only time here. Great vlog ofc.
These shows are great for getting ideas on possible improvements.
The inclusion of a charming puppy makes this an excellent video. You were also very good, but that is a given in your videos.
I’d have loads of headroom in that lovely van at 5’ tall 😊 Thanks for double the pleasure today!

Thanks as always for taking us along. My family had a car top tent when I was growing up. My dad built it. My folks slept up top and I slept in the car.
🤣😅😂the sarcasm in this vlog was over the top funny!! Thx i needed that David 🤭..but a few things to point out.. 1) for the love of everything good, live a little boy and buy yourself some organic REAL maple syrup , its only you, if anything , spend the money on some decent quality/real food . 2) as a non drinker, id like to point out that that was not a wine holder , it was a water bottle holder, geez the nerve, so obvious too😒 3) the green truck / goth/hippie van was the bees knees , the best! Cozy was right, just wish you interviewed the owners . ...besides all that, the part about you saying " must not take on too much" was so relatable i cried laughing as im like that too sometimes..lol..thx for the laughs 😉👌cherrios
Hi again David - summer still hiding here in Holywood N Ireland - many thanks for this video Sir! I'm quiet too. We're not all able to be forward facing - I can try but not as gracefully as you. Best wishes - look forward to your next stories
Better with a bit of rain than a heat wave. Expecting 29 C today... not pleasant for outdoor activities, and even worse in a steel box out in the sunshine. The van next door with the Starlink on the roof looked really sleek. The one with the T2 paint job was awesome and the cottage interior one was very much in my taste. Would be interesting to combine the three 🙂
😊I was so excited to see two videos posted from you today!🤗 I enjoyed them both very much! ❤ Thank you!
A nap caught on camera absolutely brilliant :-)
We were not far from you and also had a long nap that day! Peopling is tiring. Glad you had a pleasant weekend 😊

I get overstimulated and so, while I'd love to be everybody's friend and be the very last person to leave any party, I can't get out much at all these days! I'm trying to figure out how to balance it. It was easier when I was slightly younger and stronger and could associate with people online all day, but that turned into the sort of lifestyle best left undescribed and I'm still trying to figure out what to do instead. I was a little better off last summer when I was out on my bike every other day, almost come rain or shine, but every time I went further than a very local stop, I was running ragged before I got home. Ooooh! That Chevy is gorgeous! The finish, the chrome, the artwork, everything! I love Luna's interior too. I could live in that, I really could. That minty colour is pretty cute. I can't quite remember where I've seen another vehicle in that colour, but it was probably Street Machine around about 1990. Shows are dangerous for giving you ideas to get carried away on. :D
Oh I have some serious camper van envy going on...and I hate camping, lol!!
You always show the most glamorous moments of Van Life :-)
Hi David! I really enjoyed watching this edition. Stratford holds a special place in my heart. My husband and I stayed there on our last trip to the UK. ( we live in Florida) What a cool town. We had such a wonderful time there. We camped when our kids were young and when we were younger as well. We are too old now. But it sure was fun while it lasted. We have now been married for 57 years. We follow both of your channels. Narrowboating was a dream for us.. doubt it will happen now, but we still like to watch your Cruising the Cut channel. We have learned a lot about the canal system in England. Thank you for doing such a good job! I have never agreed with your opinion that you are not amusing or interesting. We would not have been with you since the beginning if it was not interesting as enjoyable. We feel as if we know you. You make us laugh! You give good information that is both thoughtful and acurate. Well done! Cheers! Sue in Florida

You are not alone on wanting a good nights sleep. I was on a 4 day business trip to Amsterdam and I was the first one in a cab home to the hotel well before midnight to get some sleep when most others continued though the city after dinner. I too old for that drinking all night when it’s a full day of meetings afterwards and I need some quiet time, even when it is free 😂
Good show David. Big vans don't appeal to me anymore, they did to begin with. My van ain't big and I'd still go smaller, I like cosy spaces, easy to heat and of course; easy to park.
David,I found you here! Again fascinating vlog..people in vans…what next….we have those RVs in Norway but not many small vans like that…geography is different….subscribed so hopefully will see more of these too.
Nothing wrong with grandpa nap at your age Dave 🙂
Hayfever tablets can make you drowsy - the "non-drowsy" ones make me feel "not with it", I understand that feeling you were talking about. Can't argue with going back to the van for some peace and quiet. I would do the same. 1 or 2 hours of socialising and then I need the same amount of "recovery" time!!! Nice VLOG as usual.
I have one of those panda 4x4s. They are great! Not sure I'd want to stay on the roof though (which is why I have a campervan...!).
I think your vids are very interesting and amusing 🇬🇧👍

I think the word you were looking for to describe that awesome Vdub bus was "EXPENSIVE" ! 😂
Thanks for putting Doris in your video, and our dinette area isn’t that posh 😂
@Vandemonium

Merely having a separate dinette is posh!!! Thanks for letting me look around 😀
Ah yes, us introverts must of course hide away after a lot of socialising, makes sense. As for the sudden and long nap, well, we're getting on a bit, aren't we? I do catch myself just wanting forty winks and then waking up two-three hours later feeling a bit groggy and seemingly having two days instead of just the one. (also, hayfever doesn't help on the energy levels - I've got the itchy eyes and sniffles every summer)
What a wonderful stress free weekend! Awesome!
Hooray for a Vandemonium film 😀😀😀
Hi. I think some if us were wondering if you saw the pizza thing. As i would have loved to have seen it. And i am sure you would have loved a piece or slice yourself. 😊😊😊

Good to see the Van back. Very enjoyable Dave.
Hi Dave! That was a glorious video. Makes me miss your canal vlogs. Stay safe and healthy.
It is nice to see you out and enjoying your campervan. Your campervan build videos in particular always have me thinking about things I could do/modify in our trailer (caravan?) I still think you should come over to Canada and drive up/down the Alaska Highway or perhaps visit Jasper/Banff and some of British Columbia's Provincial Parks. If I may take a moment for shameless self promotion. My wife and I have just finished an eighty day, 13800km, 2 provinces and 26 US states road trip with our truck (not sure of the English term... a Ford F150) and trailer (caravan?)

totally different kind of "foxy ladies" airbrushed on that Chevy than what you would find in America.
David MUST NOT DO IT, until you finish the boat revamp and then I shall be saying, David MUST Do it! So get on with the boat, will you? Just teasin'! Thanks, so fun!

Nice to see you back haven't seen any of your video's for quite a while. Im also not very sociable but people just call me a miserable git. Had my van for nearly 4 years and still haven't slept in it yet but hoping to get away in it in the next few weeks. Look forward to seeing your next video.-Tony.

Yeah, I haven't made any videos in the van for a while, not sure what I've got coming up either...
You my very distant friend are a single person socialite. it appears that one on one conversations you do quite well. You just are not multi person coversationalist and that is ok. So just be you and it will be all ok. Nice video and thanks for bringing us along.
@Vandemonium

Thank you, yes that's exactly it.
Glad you had a nice weekend away, David; thanks, as always, for sharing it with us!
Very good to see you out in the van, especially at a van show. I've really got an itch myself for that small van you were drooling over. Seriously considering trading in my 10 yr. old Jeep on a used van and doing a quick soft build and taking off. I still don't get the Bard Cheese vlog title. But that's all right as there should always be room in life for the little mysteries. 😉
Being social with one person is much easier than an entire room full.
@Vandemonium
23 күн бұрын
Definitely
David, that was great fun! Lacking just an inch, you might be able to replace that lovely ceiling with a thinner insulation and very thin cover to buy you that inch! You would hate to ruin that lovely work though and as you have already pulled Twiggy out of the water, you might as well see it through. Who knows, you might have so much fun in her that traipsing around in the van becomes less appealing as you explore waterways that you were unable to get the narrowboat into. And transporting twiggy to Scotland would be SIGNIFICANTLY more cost effective than having your narrowboat moved up. I have a boat trailer and a Honda pickup that I would be happy to loan you, if it were on your side of the pond. I would bet there are several followers of yours that have the same on YOUR side of the pond.
I imagine your afternoon sleep was hayfever - it still lays me out after 74 years!

David, about the water tank, look at the weight per gallon, you will install it permanent. Best wishes from Northern Canada.

Good to see you back in the van. Between the van and the boat you should be able to scratch a very serious itch. Now I'm off to see what you have for us on Cruising the Cut channel. Take care and have a good week ahead, David.
David, you MUST get carried away. It would make a great video series. 😄👍

That lovely VW split window bus, my dream car! Will be looking forward to your next van conversion. 😉 Looks like a lovely event. Thanks for taking us along.
The easiest way to become more 'sociable' is with a nip or two of your favorite libation. A good scotch, or if that's a bit too strong, maybe a fine cognac or brandy...

Ah the gypsy life! Nothing else needed. Just a star to guide you by!
Sorry David, but the shiny aluminum (USA spelling) travel trailer at the 9:24 mark is an AVION, not an Airstream. (I’m not that sharp on RV history, but it says so across the front just under the window in really big letters.) Both Airstream and Avion were eventually owned by THOR Industries, but neither one ever owned the other. Avion production ended in 2006 (I think). Airstream was founded by Wally Byam in 1931 and they are still being made. (I suspect production ceased during WW2, but I have not researched that.) We have a 2020 Airstream Flying Cloud 27 FBT (front bed twin) model. It is a good trailer and a wonderful way for us to be “on the road” for extended periods of time.
@Vandemonium

Yeah I'd never heard of Avion until I got comments on this video.
Nice goin David. Still miss my Iload but been thinking about roof top tent but the Xtrail wont fit the roof racks I got. Tents are a little chilly. Always been fond of Chevrolet/Bedford vans, nice big box. If you were getting rid of yours I'd take yours, but gettin it down here'd be a bit hard but. Nice 1 m8, stay vertical Eh!

Thank you- I adore watching your wee videos.
Looks like a fun relaxing time. Shaun the sheep is a family favorite. Yeah, I'd be finding all the SF&F fans and discuss things like Doctor Who. Who wouldn't like a TARDIS for your travel van? Think of all the unlimited space inside. 😂
Hi David, it looks like the camper van weekend was quite enjoyable, I enjoyed it as well via your video. I was a hyper-introvert growing up but, have slowly become surprisingly more socialable over the years (I am 68) so, give up hope. Although, you made good progress in the later part of the video. I think there is possibly some salve available for that itch you have at the Pharmacy: "Camper van major project itch be-gone"; one of those miracle products in a bottle. Thanks for another interesting one - Cheerio!

I saw that little turquoise gem when you were checking in and hoping we’d get a second look and perhaps a tour….yes, it had a lot to recommend!
