We love your videos about wild camping and for several weeks we have watched nothing else at night. The vision is stunning. But you Allen (hope is spelt right) are a treasure and give joy and hope. Sue and I now say 'Morning flowers,' every day. And 'Oh dear' is used throughout the day. So our love to you, and your entertaining voyages into the wilds of Britain. Great video and Poppy added another dimension to it with the dancing and the interaction with the sheep , reminding us what it is like to be young and carefree. I camped up there twice and I loved it the same way you did, for the views at the top. There's a great circular walk going down to the reservior and back up the other side so you sumit twice.Truly a lovely place to visit.

It’s a nice place especially on a clear day.

Grand views! (And the promise of waffles!) The camping trips I took with my dad are some of my happiest and, fourty years later, as I was reminiscing with him in his last few months, we talked for hours about all of our adventures and how they were some of our most precious memories. Memories were made this weekend for you two. By the way- I think the sheep were an intentional plant by the Wales Tourism Board

Awesome job Al you are a good mentor what a lucky kid. I had a brother in-law as a kid that taught me about camping and fishing. I will never forget those trips. I'm 55 I still think of him when I catch a nice fish he was an awesome guy. Have fun be safe ✌️

aww nearly had a tear in my eye, this brought back memories of when i used to take my kids camping (now in their 30's and 40's) so a long time ago now but it brought it all back so thankyou for that Poppy was awesome too 🙂

Kinder Scout, my 6/7/8yr old loved going up. Yeah we cheated and caught the bus to 400mtrs. Leveretts, proper mountain hares, we're watched, she loved it, I loved it. About 9yrs old she didn't fancy walking again, I respected her choice. Our memories on Kinder will last forever. This Pen-y -Fan film brings everything back,ta❤️

Up until 10 they generally love it but then the teens kick in and that’s when they moan 😂😂😂

Ex soldier here, so I love a bit of camping and the great outdoors. Your You tube channel is just upbeat, wholesome and very genuine. I cannot put my finger on exactly why I enjoy them so much . I bit of inspiration I guess. I have two young boys that are not that interested in camping unless the site has a swimming pool and sells ice cream. All is not lost , I’m sure I can do a deal with the eldest involving a bribe. Anyway , once again a great video, Poppy is an absolute star. Keep up the cracking work .

My son and his friend climbed Pen y Fan a few weeks ago, they are both 18 and love walking and driving. They took some amazing pictures. Well done Poppy! I have been veggie from the age of 8 with my family and have always had a lot of energy.☺️👍

What a delightful video! It warms my heart to see you and Poppy (also my daughter's name) out together. Glad to see that some kids are still brought up to love and embrace the outdoors. It really shows in her confidence and personality. She seems to be an excellent companion on the hill as well. Obviously I miss Blue too... I don't think you could have chosen a better place for an evening out under the stars.

It was pretty windy in the morning. The sheep were quite intrigued and very friendly but up there I’m sure they get use to the people.

2,906' - now I know how high the mountain is. 82.4ºF - now I know how warm it is. Poppy was a really cute addition to this video. I believe you'll find ready made, frozen waffles in the grocery store. Yes, Blue was conspicuous by his absence. I have a sixteen month old granddaughter with sensible parents but I worry. Anyway this month now my son and I are taking her camping - with car etc. I hope we smash it. Air tent weighs a ton so different league but it’s a start 😁

I work in a school with a huge outdoor program, mainly Outward Bound Trust and Duke of Edinburgh, it's great getting the kids out learning new skills.

As I live just over the border in Gloucestershire the Brecons are my "local" patch. Most of my vids so far are from nights out on them. As you say, relatively easy but with stunning views and away from Pen Y Fan there are plenty of quieter hills. You and Poppy seem to have a great relationship and she's a real trooper! Lovely vid again

Great place for an overnight and best time to venture out into the busier mountains to avoid the crowds, although last time I was on Pen y fan in July the weather was horrendous. Driving wind and rain and no visibility. Went up it one January and it was stunning, everything dusted in snow and blue skies. Black mountains well worth a look as well.

I generally prefer winter camping because it’s quiet but it’s also nice to chat to people enjoying life up there too👍

Now then ☺️ Bushman makes it down to Wales at last. Shame there was no blue but poppy filled in nicely. I did my first wild camp this weekend in the Beacons at Llyn y Fan Fawr near there (awesome circular walk from Llyn y Fan Fach), it was an amazing place, made better actually by spending a few hours chatting to a KZreadr I follow and respect who was camping on the same lake, and a fellow camper who I walked back with having a chat in the rain, times like that make it extra special, hopefully bump into you and Blue one day in the lakes.
