It's been a lot of years, since I did this, but I remember the clutch pedal adjustment was to get about an inch, or two of play in the pedal. Adjust it until, as you push in the clutch pedal, it's effortless for an inch or so, then you the feel pressure.

OK So if you wanna run a line from master to slave... You can buy some nice Copper nickel tubing..... It's easy to work with and make a double flare.... It can hold lots of pressure.....

You can just lineup the new shaft with the old one before install.. little easier

So anyways..... You can have a leak by taking in air Without losing fluid...... The remedy is to replace the entire clutch line from top to bottom...4-6 ft?. So I'm looking around for the options for the D21.... I found several references online for the same problem it says it usually stumps mechanics....

I'll look it up after work today! I'll make a quick vid on this very thing! It's easier showing how, what and why than try and describe it in written! I should be off work by ten this morning so it won't be long!

My 1997 Nissan came with a clutch master cylinder that is different than the one everyone sells for it. Mine resembles the 1998 style. Are they interchangeable? The replacement looks like yours.

I honestly don't know if they're interchangeable between the 80's and 90's models. Let me do some research and I'll try and get a more definite answer for you.

Here's some things you can try. -bleed the clutch damper. It's on the passenger side firewall. You can follow the Hardline directly too it from the master clutch cylinder. If this still doesn't fix your problem, the clutch damper can either be replaced or deleted. -there's an adjustment nut on the clutch master cylinder where it's fork mates too the clutch pedal. At it's resting position. The clutch pedal should be fully pressed against the clutch switch that sits in front of the clutch pedal. If it's not, the clutch won't engage as clutch pedal won't have full range of motion. This will cause your exact situation. You can adjust the angle of clutch pedal by rotating the clutch master cylinders shaft. This can be done by hand. Turing one way, pedal will move towards firewall. "We don't want this!" Rotating the other way, pedal will mover forward towards that switch. "This is what we want." Try the second option first. See if that works. If not try first option. If it still doesn't work, please don't hesitate to let me know.

@@almagam2099 Already deleted the damper weeks ago I give up I'm just going to trade it for an automatic frontier.... I can't spend the rest of my life switching parts around every 3-4 days...

Maybe you need to replace the whole thing. It's not aligning correct ? Pump put on second then first
