The books are even better. Rich in small details that the anime didn't show, like detailed technical specifications of allies and legion unities and weapons. At first look, these details don't seem that important, but they are. Those crazy stunts Shin makes with his mech unity are totally based on these details, like the weapon he uses or where he shoots. And also, the 86 persecution within the alba republic is described with more details. It was WAAAAAY worse than what the anime show us. Remember Kaie death? In the books that death was waaaaay more dramatic.

Cuz Conner from Trash Taste said not only was it mid but it sucked. Granted it’s far from perfect and far from a masterpiece like Attack on Titan. It’s still a great show especially at episode 22 and 23 with it’s cathartic impact.

Think of it this way, if someone is a software engineer, that is not his entire life, his interests would be all over the place besides software engineering, he may watch tv shows, cartoons even, or be interested in anime. Like a college professor I know, who plays genshin and watches anime.

Avid來了！！！ 澤野大神的音樂真的超讚 86裡的Hands Up to the Sky跟THE ANSWER也都超級好聽 Avid不管聽幾次都會起雞皮疙瘩 尤其是配上歌詞跟劇情….. 而且每一次ED時間都下的超級好 這首真的是我2021的神曲之一>

To be honest it was the first anime in a while that made me shed a tear. I've heard it's a good show, but damn I didn't expect to get something like this and music is cherry on top.

86 - Eighty Six is series that from the first episode, from first Light novel volume, i loved so much. It is series that show all reality of our own world. Where people were threated badly just because of different look, skin color, nationalities and that if you gave up you lose, fighting for better tomorrow. Last two episodes 22, 23 worth waiting. They were so magnificently and beautifully created. I who rarely cried or show emotions, i was totaly broken I cried as i never before. I could not stop tears. All that was inside me (from my own personal losses and tragedies) all went out, all that was keepen for years it finally went all out. 86 is such fantastic series. It is masterpiece in rang with Attack on Titan, One Piece, and 86 removed the One Piece from my number one (which was on 1 spot for years) To me this series is pure masterpiece. I thank A-1 production for such dedication in creating the anime and big thank you and deepest bow to author Asato Asato for creating such story and thank you Hiroyuki Sawano for always creating such beautiful songs. Your work is work of master!!

老師實在太讚了，覺得很像雷娜本人在彈鋼琴，然後抒發自己心情的感覺～

我很喜歡這首曲子的旋律，但每次看到86們沒有選擇只能去戰鬥時，就會想到我明明過著有很多選擇的生活但卻沒能好好把握努力與選擇。聽著這首曲子讓人也想再往前邁進，至少選擇自己不後悔的人生。
