It isn't increasing. We just know about it now through media. Exposing them. This much child abuse has been rampant since the dawn of time. In some time periods even accepted. Now it's not. We just get to get the news of all of these kids every minute now. So it's now exposed. Used to be easier to do without cameras and cell phones for evidence.

I watched another crime channel and they said she was found with a rope tied to a rock to keep her down. When your voice was hurting and you felt around your throat, I believe the rope was used. Grandmother had custody. She also had mental health issues. Dad worked 2 weeks at a time on a boat.

This is so so sad! It’s literally breaking my heart… Unfortunately, if they wld have had some type of mediator thru the courts or someone to help them communicate besides a damn “pedo” this wouldn’t have happened. & unfortunately it’s like the mother was so desperate to talk to her child that she just was blinded by Steven or like I said completely desperate to just talk to her child that she fell right into the trap that Steven had & his intentions.. so damn sad I’m not blamimg the mother by any means! BUT ONLY If the mother & father would have been grown enough to be able to communicate like adults shld & saw the bigger picture & wanted the same outcome for their child as in her being safe, healthy & you have to put your differences & your emotions to the side for the child no matter what.. & now look what happened.. now they BOTH don’t get the privilege of that, I can only Imagine the pain they’regoing thru… I pray for Audrii’s soul & im so glad she was recovered & can have a proper burial & im glad now she’s in the hands of god , safe & sound for eternity 🩷🕊️🥹 this case really gets to me ..but this cld have been 100% preventable IMO! What a shame. This is why no matter what is going on always get someone in the court system or a family member who can be a mediator who you cld trust with anything & everything! Or just think about ur child & put both of yalls differences & emotions to the side “I know, easier said then done” & even if you need a mediator then do that before trusting someone that you truly don’t know. We need to see where this guy was BEFORE this case. Does he have other tatooes? Who gave them to him? Wow. What a twist in the case. Jesus. Some parents really drop the ball. I think that is for some reason why I watch these. I have shortcomings as a parent as everyone does. But, never to shit like this. Good grief. This is horrible. He didn't just molest her he killed her for goodness sakes. Watch who your kids are around. Don't let single men watch your child. It's obvious all around.
