838. A 3-Hour Mega-Ramble / Reflecting on a Wonderful Spring Day in Paris

This is the longest episode of LEP so far, and it's a solo ramble. Relax, follow my words, hang out with me for 3 hours, get stranded on a desert island of the imagination, and then get rescued. Includes a haircut and a t-shirt change during the episode.

Hello Luke! Thank you so much for your videos. I really like the way you speak and tell stories. I can understand you pretty good however I can't speak English( I have anyone tha I can speak with 😢) I use to listen to your podcasts when I take a walk or when I do chores. I'm 63 and I hope to speak English one day. All the best for you and your family. Greetings from Italy.

That’s my first comment though I have been listening to you for about 3,5 years. You are absolutely great, Luke!! Funny thing is that when I listen to you, in my head you look like Mark Carwardine (I had a chance to work with him in one team and your voices are kind of similar), when I watch your KZread I’m always amazed you look different 😅😅. So stupid of me , sorry! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE your podcast!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍 Congratulations on your second baby 🙏🏻🙏🏻 all the best to the family ❤️ Can I ask one question? I would like to practice my English, so if there is anybody who is interested in chatting from time to time I’d be grateful 🙏🏻 (I’m Russian and now Russians are not much welcome I guess… so I mention it before someone contacts me and probably could be disappointed later…). Anyways, live a comment if you are happy to practice English🙂 thank you Luke 🙏🏻

Hello Luke. I met you three months ago, and I haven't stopped following you here (KZread) and on your website. I am Brazilian, I live in Recife, capital of Pernambuco (northeast region of the country). I'm preparing for the IELTS test, and I love the topics of the podcasts and the relaxed way with quality content that you do. My teacher even pointed me to other podcasts, but anyway, I'm happy here....kkk My family and I are immigrating to Canada soon, and it has been wonderful to make this journey, following your content (both the oldest and the most recent). Congratulations and thank you !!!

Dear Luke I have reached the end of this wonderful 3 hour marathon. Today I picked up at the beginning of the elephant bird story. What an amazing story, and what a great adaptation you have achieved! What I hadn't heard before was that description of the Chatelet station. Well, actually, it's not a description, its a delirium, its crazy, it's wonderfully accomplished!!! I thank you very much for the effort of having recorded this video. It may seem to be something intuitive, natural, the recording of the flow of consciousness. But I am sure that there is a lot of work behind it, a lot of elaboration, tons of expertise. You are very clear, very entertaining, incredibly ingenious. It is evident that you have a lot of experience teaching English. You also have great acting skills!. And the sound of your podcast is fabulous, the best I found on KZread in English classes. It's very professional, it's obvious that your studio is a real recording studio. Well, thank you again. You are the best teacher on KZread.
