My two daughters, Tammy and Terry, got together some of their neighborhood friends TEN summers ago (in 2010) and decided to recreate the wonderful stage show "FINDING NEMO: THE MUSICAL" playing at Disney's Animal Kingdom, on our little stage in our basement. My older daughter Tammy (age 14) was able to remove almost all of the original vocals from the soundtrack so they could sing along with the music.
The kids had done some little skits on this stage before, but nothing quite this long and complicated at 35 minutes. They practiced for two months in the summer and then performed for us the end of the August before school started. Remember, there were NO parents involved with the rehearsals--just the children. The kids all wanted to surprise us!
This was filmed in 2010 and performed ONE TIME for two dozen parents and friends.
Daddy (me), filmed and ran our old 1935 spotlight at the same time...remember, I had never seen the show before and had to guess what to do as I had NO practice run--the kids wanted me to be surprised!
I think you will all agree they did a wonderful job with this show they grew to love on our visits to Walt Disney World.
