Thank you so much for this video!! I bought a different brand than you did (Stuf Xoom G) but had the same problems! I threw away my old skates because the wheels became slow and screechy but I didn't know you could repair them (I was 11) so I just tossed them. When I put these on the very first thing I noticed was that they was so much slower than even my broken ones! I kinda got used to that but then te problems with the size came along. At first I tried sizing them down to smaller size than mine but it felt uncomfortable. Then I started buckling them *really* tight, so tight in fact they'd stop my blood flow, so I'd have to stop every few minutes take a rest so my feet wouldn't be in pain. I asked my friend if that has happened to her before and she just suggested tightening the Velcro as much as I can, so I did. It thankfully didn't come off as yours did, but the second time I rode them it just started becoming loose on one skate on its own. I stopped and looked at it and the Velcro was totally destroyed. I was just searching on how to swap it for a new strip bc it's riveted on and I saw this video😅 Amazingly, you've kinda explained everything I wanted to know

@@RicardoLino it's sad. With this kind of business model and huge advance in communication, you have people buying skates sometimes as a gift, and they are getting ripped. If they sold one or two different skates and they were a common and well liked skate for a good price - then they would be doing skating a big favour. This sucks.

I had a very similar experience with the first pair of inline skates I bought. I knew very little about skates, and looked on amazon also, but ended up buying a pair from Sport's Direct, thinking that a sports gear outlet would sell decent quality skates. Mistake! I bought a pair of "No Fear" Cyclone skates, looked great in pics, "4x80mm wheels, aluminium frame", similarly priced to the ones you just reviewed. (with shipping making it expensive enough for what I actually got. I know better now!) Man.. They were bad. Like, they had no support at all, so quickly became uncomfortable, no real shape to the boot. The alu frame was thin, flexy, and riveted on, so not adjustable or replaceable, same with straps, riveted on. The wheels were OK for just rolling, but as soon as I tried some hockey stops/power slides (I was learning) it just tore chunks out of the wheels, and they even felt flexy and unsafe on crossovers. Also they had two piece axle bolts that constantly needed tightening. All in all, a waste of money. But what's worse, is that skates like this could easily put a would be skater off skating altogether! That is the real shame. I got online and talked to other skaters, checked out what skates people liked, which models were popular with skaters, and I bought my first pair of *real* skates, from a skate store, Seba FR1's, and I never looked back. The only good thing I can say about the crappy skates, is that for all their faults, they still got me hooked! and it made me do some research and talk to other skaters, and I love the skating community they're so helpful. I still have the No Fear Cyclone skates, just to show people the difference. The FR1's are in a different league. But you don't need to spend a fortune to get great quality skates!! You just need to buy them from a skate store. I got mine from locoskates, but there are many, your own included. Cool video Lino 👍🏻 as always

Can't believe what they are selling. 😅 I know that Amazon is sometimes more convenient to people and some people don't know any skate shops, so then they buy this 💩.. So I think it's sooo important that these kind of videos exist so people then know where to buy skates and where not. 🙃

I mean, these are entry level and intended for beginners. So no slides, and outdoors asphalt use. The brake should be fine for that use, I had cheap skates as a teen and the trick is to slowly wear in the brake until it lies flat when used - brand new only an edge touches the ground. As for the wheels, gotta be the slides. I personally prefer a softer wheel for more grip, I’ve had harder and it was too slippy. The Velcro straps are just a defect. Gotta be.
