Old fallen apart hats are my go to for sourcing vintage patches

You can make replacement foam inserts for hats that have disintegrated foam. Obviously not the same resale value but the structural integrity of the hat is restored for wearing. Pellon foam from Joannes and you can either spray glue or fuse it in with glue paper and some steam.

You don't have to remove the fabric from the hat to get the loose foam out. All you have to do is vacuum over it and it will suction it through the fabric.

You don't take the snaps off of the hats you throw away? If they're good, I keep them. You never know when you will need to put a new one in a hat, and it's always better to have the ones that read "Made in the USA"

I got about 14 Mack truck hats from both Louisville MFG CO. And K Products and they are in really good condition some rare and other not so much

How can yo determine the value? I have a bunch of vintage trucker hats that advertise a floor seam tape.

I’ve got a hat that’s pretty niche as it was for a Winter Show in North Dakota haha, but I was still wondering if it was truly from 87, since it was a 50 year anniversary hat 1937-1987. It says made in taiwan as opposed to US, any advice?

Would pretty much guarantee it’s authentic, a lot of vintage hats/clothing were made in Taiwan, doesn’t have to be USA. Made in USA is just most common

How much cost for 1 unit caps john deere or cat or pepsicola. Interest to buy

are there a lot of fake 3 stripe trucker hats? and is there a way to tell if its legit?

i just bought 1500 hats! now what? lol seriously, 1500! never sold a hat before. there are over a 100 harley hats in there. about 20 deere, etc

That was fake apparently, people just bid it up and didn’t pay for some reason

Not sure if they make fakes of them. In most cases, check the back of the plastic strap and if it has the production facility/made in USA, it’s real. Haven’t seen any fakes of these but who knows these days!
