I finally move back to the actual 80s and the strangest, most profitable microcomputer of them all: the Apple IIe, on which I play Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?, flip through my 1985 World Book a lot, and reveal my profound ignorance of just how many countries call their currency "rupee". I then switch back to the Amiga (and Fodor's special "Brøderbund Edition" Travel USA Guide) for Where in the USA is Carmen Sandiego?, where I fare a little better but still reveal that I think Rhode Island, like Monster Island, may actually be a peninsula.
