80s Computer Hacking: A Supercut
We at Found Item Clothing love technology but sometimes it's good to consider how far we've come. We proudly present the silliest, best and iconic hacking scenes from the big screen.

The best thing is, most of the effects used to make these scenes had to be created by people who would have, in theory, known enough about computers to know that this is nothing at all like it actually plays out.
"override all security"
This is what I pretend a day at the office is like.
You really think the hacking scenes have changed nowadays ? In 2014 films, screens continue to show the letters 1 by 1 like on a teletype, and even when nobody use the PC they keep showing scrolling lines of random data. In 2014 films, hackers continue to ignore what a mouse is, and they have mysterious interfaces which are nor Windows, nor Mac, nor Linux (and, of course, no menu and no button in their softwares).
The Voight-Kampff test from Blade Runner just didn't belong in this.
But the Bladerunner one isnt hacking, its a personality test.
I love how people in movies always somehow code firewalls into super-complex 3D graphical interfaces so "hacking" seems more exciting for whoever is trying to "hack"/watching somebody try to "hack."
Who came here from family Guy
This isn't true of just 80's movies. Every movie that has ever depicted "hacking" is ridiculous.
If you're not going to credit Com Truise's music in the video, at least put it in the description. Come on, guys.
The fast track method to become an 80's computer hacker. You'll need...

For more outdated fun go watch the 1995 film "Hackers".
Two realistic movies:
Oh, TRON, how I love you. When you understood the point of computers and not creating a world with glitches that somehow possess humanoid DNA that can pass between the computer world and the real world with next to no modifications.
We surely didn't have a clue what we were doing back then, fun times! What I would give to return back to the 80s.
HAHAHAHAHA!!!! It's a great supercut!
What's the name of the song used in the outro?
What is the song that plays on the intro? at like 15 seconds in.... it reminds me of com truise.
Fucking awesome. The 80s era of computers was so terrific. Computers were still this wildly uncharted territory, being a programmer meant you could be a god and do anything. It's like being a wizard in Middle Earth. I love this.
