@24:36 "The suspension doesn't work at all" Damn COBI got even that detail correct about the Tiger lmao Great model either way, great vid 🎉
@bigsmokes2708

the suspension in the tiger was excellent, matter a fact just about everything about it was excellent, only nearly 1200 of these machines were made, and destroyed 20,000 allied tanks. The issue they had was with the expensiveness of production, and the high qaulity peices that were used during production. When a tiger had a roadwheel shot off, or had any issue that made it so it was unable to drive, it could be easily repaired, however the peices used to repair were expensive, and with the terrible german logistic line, normally were hundreds of miles away from being able to be used on the tank. This resorted to many tigers being abandoned. Out of 1200 tigers destroyed, 447 were abandoned, the most tiger knockouts are accredited to fighter bomber planes (close air support.) The tiger was a magnificent and high quality tank with great suspension transmission, and ergonomics plagued only by expensiveness and one of the worst logistics of any army.

@@bigsmokes2708 Not entirely accurate. The complexity of the suspension made it prone to being jammed by mud. Tigers couldn't operate well in conditions most soviet tanks had no problems with. It was a great tank yes, but it was not without its flaws.

Brickmeet has done what most can't. To get the 131 in that scaled mod is an achievement. I keep imagining myself to have that set and you've made my immersiveness even better thank you for your dedication Brickmeet.
You have to really appreciate the set designers that are able to creat these designs that both faithfully represent a real world object with that amount of detail (especially that turret with that impressive gun breach and basket set up). Along with the build quality not being obtrusively fragile. I mean this whole thing is hollow and you can legitimately “play” around with it and it’s not going to lose chunks if you pick it up wrong or whatever. Cobi is a top tier brick manufacturer and designer.
@daveybyrden3936

This set does NOT faithfully represent a real world object. Numerous things are omitted, or the wrong colour, or the wrong version. The engine is not based on 131's original engine. There are reasons to think the designers used an old model kit from Academy Models as their referemce - because if they had seen the real tank, some decisions would be different. But that model kit is 30 years old and very poor quality, even compared to more recent kits.

I finished mine last weekend, had the box sitting here for 3 weeks waiting till I had the free time. Took 35hrs to build. Very nice set, but there are a few confusing parts in the instructions. Had to look forward in a few steps to get placement right on a few things. $650 US I think it was worth it, I would buy again. I had no missing parts.

wow... just wow... this thing is just way beyond massive. however, availbility aside there is no chance in hell i would ever spend that much money on a single set like this. as you said, as impressive as this monster is - in the end it is just a tiger we all happened to build a few times now.

Not just a tiger. the details on this beast amazing and the size of it impressive. The joy and fun of building it great. Worth every penny. Also can you go and get a decent Lego UCS set that dwarfs this for same cost.

@@osmacar5331 Yeh there that. Also think of cost of recolouring most of the bricks. New pieces and retooling of the machines to make them. the amazing box art and manuals. Broader picture it just a tiger, nope as this most accurate tiger we ever will get. I go to Tank Museum regularly if i can and this 1/12 scale tiger is like owning tiger 131 it that accurate. So i would say may cost a pretty penny, but worth it. I think it will be around for 1-4 years so plenty of time to save and buy one.
You really are the master of this style of video, it’s like watching a magician build a tank. I know how time consuming and difficult it is to produce this style of video but you make it look effortless. Your patience is our reward. I thank you.
I just finished mine a day ago, after having to wait 3 weeks for some missing parts to arrive. It's a great model, but I see a lot of people with missing / deformed pieces so I really hope Cobi step up their quality control. For 600 pounds / euros I would expect it to be right the first time.
For a lot of these videos I think "Eh, I'd rather get a scale model" but this one really impressed me with the detail. Even just that turret basket looked amazing!
The level of detail is fantastic. The number of pieces just makes it possible. I'm delighted.
Love it. Its very detailed and now they added an actual suspension! We need more sets like this one
Oh sh*t, COBI is back in the game! Beutiful video and by far the best model I have ever seen. But did you seriously just say that it costs 600 euro? Thats more than I payed for my car!
More than the insane assembly of this beast, I am impressed with your editing of the video - HAD TO TAKE FOREVER! Well done.
Exceptionally detailed and cleverly built for stability. Big enough to probably crew a crew of old school GI joe figures. Asking price makes sense considering the piece count, and enlarged pieces throughout the tread assembly. Definitely a contender for UCS styled building/model set of the year. It would be really difficult not to get the Panzer IV if it also got this scale treatment.

Amazing how good it looks, even has shells in the racks and the tracks roll really great. Amazingly detailed, really love it.

It took me a full week (2-3 hours a day after dinner) to put mine together. Its MASSIVE. And awesome. But if you don't line up the halves of the hull well you will have nothing but problems.
Wish i could afford these sets by COBI bricks. They make some really GOOD stuff. COBI, LEGO, PANTASY are my favorite bricks so far....
That tread rollout cut edit was magical.
Love that tiger. Make sure nobody breaks it. That is fantastic!
Had legos as a kid mostly castles and space stuff of which I passed on to a friend who collects them. I've also been an avid scale modeller for decades so this is not normally a video I'd watch. However you sir sucked me right in with such a well done and oddly satisfying video. Loved all 26 mins you've earned my subscription. Well done indeed.
Absolutely 💯 gorgeous build! This is an amazing build! So detailed, so deep in depth. They cared in creating this build. Absolutely... Beautiful!!! ❤ ty MpJj
Would i buy it. Yes. i have it on top of my bookcase. Not just cuz it a Tiger. It a piece of Cobi history. You got to think of cost. But most parts are new coloured to be as accurate as possible. Loads of new bricks and parts. Then there the books and boxes. Everything you get with this tank is above quality. I had a few bricks missing, but what do you expect with over 8000 bricks. The 1/12 scale is by far the best tank we ever got. The smaller tigers are great but the beast is well worth it. I lucky as i paying £150 every 2 weeks in UK to own this gem.
Wow the patience to film and edit it all, bravo!
COBI has a talent WAY bigger than any LEGO MOD builders
Wahnsinn, tolles Modell.
Nearly finished box 2 of 4 on this beast, thoroughly enjoying the experience. The only problem is going back to 800 to 1200 pieces will seem a backward step. I hope Cobi do more 1:12 models. Good luck to everyone building this or any of the fine Cobi products.
Someone in a discord I'm in recently posted pictures of them building this very model. The sheer size and detail is very impressive.
Yes!!!!! I’ve been waiting soo long for this !!! Well done 👍
I am glad there are these kinds of kits, I can't imagine how difficult it is to assemble normal model kits. I feel safer in getting a good result just assembling platic bricks, rather than having to deal with cutting bits loose, gluing, and painting
Insanely good edits! ❤
Respect for brickmeet for actually making this video!!
I have this Tiger , is AMAZING !
Very stunning and beautiful model! The playability is also a bonus.. i hope the rubber suspension will hold that weight after a couple years

in some days ill have it too for my 18th!
I wonder if you could motorized that thing , just like your other rc tank, or the one video where you motorizing CaDa T72 set and make it a rc
Good job it would take me 2 and a half hours for me to build that. Outstanding work.❤

I've been following you for a long time and I really appreciate your videos, I don't really appreciate the COBI brand though because I find some components and some editing techniques “not legal” for the standard of other brands 😂😂😂. But boy this, this damn beast is something exceptional !! I waited for your video to convince me to buy my first COBI and it must be absolutely this!!! It's damn awesome!!!
Only now do I notice that it is the famous 131! This is a piece of history! And it's Preserved at The Tank Museum in Bovington in Dorset! During a trip to England I was able to see it for myself! While I was fixing old photos he appeared!

Holy moly! The sign of a quality kit must be having to construct the shovel from several other pieces! As we can see from the running tests, Cobi have even managed to model the mechanical unreliability of the Tiger tanks 😁 I've felt for a while that Cobi were a cut above the other alternative lego companies out there and this behemoth reaffirms it
