They’re charging about $62.40/gram for 14k jewelry in this example, that’s roughly a 1.4x markup over spot, that is an extremely solid price for quality work.

He hates on it because it's too low of quality for him to sell. He sells products he can stand behind and hollow doesn't cut it. Same with his direct competitor, saints gold where I got mine from. They don't sell hollow either. Jacoje just tells you why he won't sell it. But if you like it, you do you. I almost went with a hollow piece from Macy's and I'm so glad I didn't. The chain I ended up with is actually a good investment with the price I got it for and it should last a life time. No matter how you treat hollow, I don't see it ever lasting a life time.

Hollow 10k, 14k,18k gold is real jewelry, it's just a cheaper alternative to it's solid counterpart because there's less gold in it when compared to the same exact peace that's solid. I have both hollow and solid REAL jewelry, depending on the peace i don't mind getting it hollow and some things like a cuban link i perfer solid.

​It's just better to buy bullion straight up . 10 karat gold at $30 a gram * 24 is only 720 which is a big difference from 1500 And if you had to scrap that you probably wouldn't get that much per gram , because most states only give you 93% back of spot it seems no matter what the purity . My first gold chain was a 10k 22in 5.5mm chain that weighed 12g and i paid 800 for it smh. I added a 6g pendant. If I'm moving around the chain would ALWAYS get stuck on the side of my shirt. It was soo light, gravity would couldnt keep it centered

10K is absolute trash and does not even qualify as actually being gold. 128 gram, 14K chain is also trash and extremely over-priced. It contains approximately 2 ounces of gold, which is $4895 of gold. Wearing 10k and 14k gold is like advertising that you are poor and an economic ignoramus. Buy some investment-grade gold jewelry that is 22K to 24K and is priced close to the spot price of gold.

Yeah its not even half gold, it even looks red like copper next to real gold. 14k is at least more then half gold and so should actually be classified as gold but I agree that buying 22k or 24k is better. I wouldnt wear a 24k chain often though it would deform and break very easily, 22k is probably best.
