"Now it smells like fish and roses!" I still crack up over that line. The dog crapped in the house one time, and my mom sprayed something, and I remarked, "Now it smells like dog shit and roses!" And who would drive an Oldsmobile Cutlass on the beach?

It was unexpected to see Anne Archer in what looked like a local car dealership commercial for Bronco Chevrolet.

The announcer should've saved himself the breath and said, "We will return to Christopher Reeve as Superman."

Often with bumpers like this they mention the entire cast throughout the broadcast rather than repeating the same thing over and over. Also, Christopher Reeve was an unknown actor when the first Superman came out and Marlon Brando and Gene Hackman were the top billed stars in all of the advertising, movie posters etc. It's a pretty stacked cast of actors who were incredibly famous in their own right.

Weird seeing Gibs from NCIS back in the 80s as the spokesman for Coors.

Alka Seltzer- I wonder what they used to make the smoke come out of the man’s shirt in this commercial? American Express- It’s a shame that this commercial was cut off abruptly by the Newsbreak. I could see the potential of something scary and interesting happening to Stephen King in that haunted environment. Tums- 🎶Tums, Tums Tums Tums Tums! 🎶 I always love that jingle. Very simple, but very effective and suspenseful as well.

The little girls hanging around and being excited about knowing how to stay skinny from those “slim pills” is pretty horrific.
