London Gatwick is London's secondary international airport, and is the 2nd busiest airport in the United Kingdom, behind London Heathrow! It is one of Europe's busiest too, with its fair share of heavies from across the globe, and plenty of narrowbody flights to and from the rest of the UK/EU! The views for planespotting at Gatwick are phenomenal!
This video is focused around runway 08 arrivals and departures which is a less common direction but by far the more preferred direction for photography. The target for this trip was the Air Peace 777 which has recently began flying between Lagos and Gatwick a few times a week with their own aircraft.
All video and audio material used in this video was recorded by me, HD Melbourne Aviation, to which I legally own all the rights and ownership of the audio and video content seen in this video.

1st landing was great, smooth and center
Golden moment spotting Air Peace 777 at Gatwick. Before Air Peace started operations on the Lagos-London route, there was a duopoly between British Airways and Virgin Atlantic. Air Fares were incredibly high. Their entry brought down prices and is a symbol of Nigerian National Pride. Pleasantly surprised to them on the thumbnail and I clicked so fast. I've also been watching you for a while now. awesome video.

Thank you very much! Very interesting to read all that. Yeah Air Peace was the reason for this Gatwick trip. It’s a really cool airline with a great, unique livery and I love the 777-200s. Had to use it as the thumbnail!

Excellent filming I agree with you about Rwy 08 definitely better for filming hope you enjoyed your trip to the UK visited Australia earlier this year managed to film at Sydney, take a helicopter flight over Sydney and visited the excellent HARS museum

1:22 - ouch - that looked like a hard landing for such a heavy. Jarred a few teeth loose. Watching this sped up to 2.0 really shows all the wiggle & adjustments made preparing for touchdown.
