8 Years WWII in Europe - Hoi4 Timelapse

Ойын-сауық

Alright here's another one, this time with lots of stats and graphics to further represent whats going on in the simulation. The Total industry shows all civilian and military industry per faction level. The big spikes and drops comes as nations joins or capitulates, or as big developed areas gets occupied by other powers.
The Army Size represent the total deployed forces, once again on a faction level. Finally, the casualties, yeah are also per faction level. You will se them spike especially after the eastern front opens.
One thing about the stats: They're manually fished out of the game once every six months. (Yep, I load the save files and write down the numbers) this means that the statistics that you see are interpolated, thereby, you wont see rapid changes exactly when America joins, but instead the changes will appear smoothly over a 6 month interval. besides that though, the statistics are very accurately and not manipulated by me at all.
The Axis powers, Germany, Italy, Romania, Hungary and Finland attempts to create a new world order but the Allies and the Comintern is not giving up easily. However even though the English and Americans land in Normandy, and the Soviet Union didn't collapse as expected, the Axis - led by Germany - fights to the very end in 1946.
This WWII timelapse has been simulated by AI in the video game Hearts of Iron IV by Paradox Interactive.

peace deals have a lot to due with how much a country contributed to the war effort, in this case the soviets lost nearly as many men as the axis powers combined. casualties is one of the factors that determines how much stuff you get in peace deal.

One recommendation i have is to make the casualty graph only show the casualties that year rather than having it accumulative, that way you can easily see when there where higher casualties for different factions in each year. Also, for a cool future project, though it might be hard to do, you could make a timelaps of an actual multiplayer game, i think it would be pretty neat. Still an incredible video, keep doing what you enjoy!

paradox said it would be "portraying war crimes" same way you can't starve a country/region by cutting off the food or by nuking them. Thats stupid because its a ww2 game (war crimes galore) and their other games like eu4 and ck2 feature ethnic cleansing (culture conversion) and genocide (raising holdings)

Do you think that you could possibly make videos in 4k, because the info panels and units are hard to see in 1080p.

I’ve always wanted to learn how to play this game, but seeing as my patience and intelligence seems to be on an equal level to my shoe size it’s unlikely to ever become reality
