Yeah some of the writing is all goofy for "drama" like the father thinking they can find a random freaking arsonist on a whim. Admittedly they have varying reactions for each episode, but those are always a bit hamfisted. "Why don't the police have omnipotent physic vision of the entire city at all times!" Well, that's what conspiracy theorists think anyways so I guess they're writing it for that crowd?

There are two things I remember clearly in this episode. The first is when a first-year lawyer makes an appearance in court and is stumbling over her words. The judge gently encourages her and welcome her to the club of litigators. The second thing I remember is Jack starting to tell a war story to Connie and Connie cutting him off saying she did not like war stories. McCoy had a surprised look on his face.
