Social awkwardness comes from placing too much importance on how you are coming off. I would treat first dates as sharing experiences and learning from others so by staying in my Ne I wasn't putting pressure on myself and by staying chill I would be more attractive and in talking about insights able to showcase my intelligence in an organic, not showy way.

If there is good flow I wouldn't have anxiety anyways, but if she's a train wreck I figuratively "grab the popcorn" and treat the date as a clinic on abnormal psychology. Ne is the best thing an INTP brings to the table, because it's where our humor, playfulness and spontaneity comes from. I always pick a place I like to eat for a first date, because any date you leave with a happy belly is a good date.

As an INTP I can’t give yes or no answers to mildly complex questions and love procrastinating I can be logical but I am quite creative too. I don’t believe in faith, sorry not sorry. I love to have fun but completely isolate for prolonged periods of time. I am open to everyone’s opinions as long as it sounds reasonable. I hate arguing at any cost and can be blunt. I can be depressed and lonely when I can’t find someone to relate my understandings. Worst at showing emotions but very compassionate. I might help the poor person more than trying to impress “rich people”. Want genuine companionship. Edit : And I love cats

I disagree with when people say “they’re obsessed with being correct”. Yes I like winning but it’s just that. If someone in almost anything (arguement, sport, video game, etc) can genuinely beat me with some tactic/technique I haven’t heard of, or can give me an outlook that I haven’t thought of I will absolutely appreciate it, and enjoy it more than any victory. It gives me something new to try/develop/learn, and I often can feel better from that “loss”, unless there was ego involved (which never happens outside of For Honor lmao).

I agree with everything except that it's not that difficult for me to make friends, If you analyse people and make friends with logical mindset rather than emotional mindset, you can make long term friends without emotional drama. People who agree with my thoughts as well as those who challenge my thoughts make good friends for me. Also, INTPs have a dark side of getting addicted to everything as part of the extreme focus and passion, sometimes the addiction can be other people too.

But then, I have come to conclusion that there are other personalities that needs emotional support so I adapted well in the "F" comforting style(I am surrounded by a lot of them), I copied their style, tho that drains me most of the time. And that made me feel guilty cause I usually feel like I am faking concern and emotions.

Because the teacher didn’t know it, and our classroom resources didn’t have it, she probably still thinks I was wrong to this day. But, I went home and checked my atlas (I was a strange kid: my Mum bought me all sorts of books because I was so interested in reading them; yes, I could also read before I got to kindergarten. That was the next problem.), and sure enough, I found it.

As an INTP, (who is currently 13) I am very orderly, and will always get things done, except on weekends. I procrastinate everything I told myself I would do because I feel too tired of a long week of sports and schoolwork I find it very difficult to interact with most of my classmates since most of them have been there from a young age, and aren't too fond of talking to new people (I move around a lot, so I'm new) Whenever I gain a new interest, I always go on research sprees until I know almost everything there is to know about that. It's been a habit I've had since around the third grade. I excel in school based subjects and I have been an above average student for as long as I can remember I started reading before I even got into school, and I really enjoyed it The close friends that I do have, I feel as if I love them with my whole heart. I would do pretty much anything for them I find it really hard to talk to anyone who I find attractive, I'm only thirteen, but there are some pretty people at my school, even though I don't have a crush on them, I still find it difficult to talk to them, as I don't want them to think I'm a bad person edit: sorry that this is pretty long, I find it really difficult to write in short sentences as I have a pretty large vocabulary and don't like using little words

Otherwise I could not know which side is right. 4.] I can hardly finish anything because there will always be more to learn first. 5.] I think it is best, when given an order, to know the reason for it, so that I can believe in it and do it right. Doing the right thing is the most important. So yes, I may ask questions or even disobey. 6.] Romance? Well, there was once a time when this was possible, but it didn't work out. 7.] Yes, I know a lot of stuff. This comes in handy, but it is also fun. 8.] I can explain myself, but most people have a hard time understanding me. Consequently, I am more interested in hearing what they think than trying to tell them what I think. Other people's opinions are also interesting to remember.

I think INTPs could be very good emotionl supporters because we can listen, give good insights, and help people understand that emotions are just signs of what's going on and can be used as a tool, but do not have to be relied heavily on. We can help them sort out their feelings and decide which ones are worth feeling. Once that is done, we will be there to help them with physical needs, like helping with chores, making food, and things alike. We will always encourage them to stick to the truth no matter how they feel and can help them stay in control of their actions and provide clarity to their hopeless situations by pointing out truth, and positve cources of action.

Like what someone might expect from the INTP, I was always perceived as being weird, or social awkward. My school life was extremely difficult, because I would get bullied relentlessly for my constant day dreaming habits and being different from all the other girls. Even now, I constantly dream up theories about theoretical physics, philosophy and psychology. For instance I often contemplate about Spinoza’s logical consistency and the truths he explores, and how much of his ideas even manifested in Einstein’s “Special Theory of Relativity”.

I'm glad to finally relate to personalities just like myself. I connect to school life being difficult, daydreaming and being called "weirdo". But understanding myself is really helping me to break out of the constant need for validation and self-conciousness. Seems INTPs are pretty rare and hard to find since we don't need the feel to socialize and drain our energy just like that.

Idk if any of you did English Literature but, I always used to get frustrated with myself because when analysing text everybody would always pick out the obvious or clear interpretation of something and I'd always seem to miss that. At first I lacked coherence cause of the "half-baked" ideas and being far too open-minded bouncing from one idea and the other without concluding it, but once I got a hold of my ideas I did manage to get consistent B's. My ideas, altho unique, were never wrong (cause nothing in Lite is) but it'd always make it difficult to link quotes and come to one conclusion. Now I realise that I wasn't incapable in any way, It was either: 1.ordinary things just didn't stand out to me 2. I can't emotionally appeal to the writer cause it just doesn't make sense to me ToT 3. (TOP REASON I FAILED) I CANNOT for the life of me conclude all of my thoughts on 2 essay questions about different characters or themes on paper coherently in an hour and a half! When I'm passionate I get SO many ideas and inspirations yet with the time given I can only stick to the basics bc of the time and the way were taught to approach, its so robotic and barely gives you space for creativity, innovation. Then again University is the ideal place for that... My teacher would often put notes like "I never thought of this" and I'd think I'm peculiar when really I just can't subject my brain to thinking the same way as the UK School Board. I appreciate these kinda videos cause it helps you appreciate urself. Also the education system makes you believe your broken when in reality your probably far smarter then the system itself cause you don't operate according to it...but for the sake of good grades we must adapt and take our unique strengths into our future careers. Theres this pesky voice in my head saying that I might be completely wrong cause I need to research and I cannot be bothered researching...so INTP...

Just watching the entp video, these two are very similar to one another. I've always considered myself as an intp but recently I've been thinking whether I'm an entp lol

I feel like a lot of this doesn't apply to me. Whenever my friends need emotional support most of the time I can give it if my social battery isn't used up. and im also a pretty passionate partner

Interesting. I took a test (several different ones actually) and according to all of them I am INTP. And all those points in the video are true.

Not sure if I’m INTP but it sure feels like I fit the description. Because I’m stuck at 5:34 trying to figure out if “authority” was spelled wrong on purpose. I also googled it before leaving this comment to see if this was an alternative way to spelling it. In which I found it to be an obsolete form of spelling it.

I wrote too much the first time so here is the cliff note first: I got bored of him over explaining "weird" to me.. I mean does he know who he's talking to....? so I sighed, said "shut up" in a rough mumble and skipped ahead and heard "INTP's are passive aggressive" and busted out laughing! It was a nice magic trick, he knew we'd get bored and skip -right there- bravo! (disclaimer: I know it wasn't planned it's just funnier to think that way)

ok LONG VERSION of rambles and nonsense. if it bothers you then just skip reading it really is just for entertainment and amusement and I will not be accepting criticism but if you have interesting ideas feel free to share them as long as it's not like "your brain is dumb lol what the f is this lololol pen*s!! I eat boogers on toast" I sigh and mumble "shut up" when he was over explaining weird to me... like dude, I live in my own mind... do you think calling me weird will bother me? But after I said "shut up" and skipped ahead it was like INTP's can be passive aggressive.😂 like a magic trick (yes I'm an INTP who uses emoji's. Usually I don't but I have developed my Fe over the years and if you say "INTP's don't do that" then maybe we developed different but we still have Fe, bud! (Next it will say that we hold grudges we pretend to be over and they come out in random times such as me not getting over how someone was so rude to me because I analyzed the INFJ personality and how their cognitive function structure may make them appear more rare than they are-just a theory
