I can't believe you only have 4 videos on your channel so far. Fantastic so far! I can't wait to see what else you come up with in the future!

Simon, as a fellow vMix user, this was some amazing architecture and programming to handle a quite complex job. Much appreciated!

Wow! This is amazing! You sir are the king of the vMix power users. Almost as impressive as figuring this all out, is that you were able to explain this in a way that I could follow. But then I tried to think about how you handled all the audio issues, and my brain exploded all over the walls.

I imagine this was quite a handful to figure out -and equally satisfying to see it work as intended! The problem solving part is sometimes as fun as the actual live work.

Thank you for sharing this. I very much enjoyed seeing your problem-solving for this situation. Love the scripting idea and it makes something quite complex become quite simple to manage.

This is an excellent example of spacial thinking. I laughed out loud when I saw the novation matrix switcher - not because it was silly but because it's brilliant and the mcgiver factor maxed out at 100%. Round of applause. Ive never heard of central control. Im gobna have a play with this. Hopefully it can use my 1st gen APC40 and i can experiment with the "StreamOut Matrix" technique. If there is such a thing as a livestream producer academy, this technique should be taught. I think you should run such academy. I used to live in canberra. Its the perfect location. People would come from all over the world to attend.

Also this really helped consolidate in my mind the power of vMix with it's very straight forward and useful scripting. Very insightful. It's great that you shared this.

Looks great, I regularly do shows with over 150 inputs and don't get anywhere close to taxing my machines. Like 2% CPU. I do need to use more scripting though.

As a newer vMIx adopter, I can't speak understand the full technical aspect of the inputs and matrix routing, but I know in most switchers the way to manage this would be in the M/E banks and DSKs. Is there no way to dynamically change DSK and source layering in M/Es?

Hi There. Vmix does have up to 16 ME's and it would work, except for audio. Audio follow video only works on mix 1 so if I were to use ME's, I'd have to create another system for the audio. With my solution audio is routed at the same time. Thanks for watching.

The round trip latency out of Vmix and back in is too long. In this case, it is easier to keep it within.
