If Shadow of the Colossus is in here, Nier should be also. Starts off as a regular "hero helps his village and tries to find a cure for his sister" adventure. You fight boss monsters and make some friends. Then you learn that fighting those boss monsters may have made things worse. Then you learn that you are preventing a ritual that would save the human race from extinction. You then kill the only person able to complete that ritual. You get a New Game+ and can now understand the language of the monsters, only to learn that most of them were innocent victims that the ritual was supposed to help and you have been offing mothers, fathers, and children the entire time.

Grand Theft Auto Vice City maybe one of the greatest soundtracks of all time. If VI doesn’t have an oldies station of Vice City songs I’m gonna riot.
Top 8 clever puzzles. One that comes to mind is the tranferring a symbol to your map in Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. You have to close your DS in order to transfer the symbol.
Love the intro I read the title and thought, "There's no way Jules talks about hating yourself without reminding us were all each a Massive Leg (Legg? Legge?) His heartfelt reminders are my favorite part of these videos
@joels5150

Massive Lej? Or Ledge. That at least gets the pronunciation correct.

I vote for Witchspring R. It's charming, can be paused anytime and the leveling up is really enjoyable because you can feel how you get stronger.
@Falchion1984

@@molybdaen11 Coolness. I'm not sure what titles might qualify - after all, I'm hoping Jules and his neck vein, Jeremy, can tell me - but other factors include being able to save anywhere and side quests being either manageable or where the game makes it easy for you to remember which ones you've done and which are still in progress.
Games that you got stuck on because of unusual mechanics. For me, The Morrowind lay quest, “breath his waters glory and the way is made clear” I swam every inch of Vivec looking for hidden doors, I tried water breathing potions, I tried almost drowning, it never occurred to me that if I let my character drown to death the game would respawn me.

8 short games that lasted emotionally longer than it's run time
10 video games endings that broke your heart been playing rdr2 and its broke me
@ProfessorDrutonium
Ай бұрын
RDR2 has such and incredible story. From outlaw with a code to genuinely decent man. The journey is beautiful and the end is tragic. It’s borderline Shakespearean. I think Last of Us should make that list. Neir probably has a spot. Gears of War 5 has a tragic ending regardless of which decision you make. Hell the RDR saga as a whole. The main quest ending of the first game is absolutely heartbreaking despite there being a somewhat gratifying epilogue.
8 Games that would make a fortune with DLC if released today (E.g, Tekken 3 with it's 13 unlockable characters that would each cost £8 as DLC today)
For me TLOU2 made me hate myself. Now don't get me wrong, I absolutely love this game, it's a brutally mature masterpiece... but what I had to do to get to the end... it hollowed me out, it filled me full of self loathing. The things I did? The people I killed? Damn. Pretty sure that that was the point, lol.
8 of the best artworks for video game covers that you simply couldn't ignore in the gamestore
Video game stories that are better than most of our lives but are actually quite grim?
8 games where animals were weirdly weaponized
How about games that you should only play blind? Or games where spoilers ruin the game. For example shadow of the colosseus, which has a far greater impact on you if you don't know the ending.
Shadow of collosus was such a punch in the gut. It stuck with me for a week.

worst game ever. Critics decoied us. Graphics too.
8 video games with a huge story path divergence depending on one choice. (I'm looking at you Radiata Stories. Picking human side or non human side. Both sides have great points and both sides force you to fight friends.)
How about list of games with unusual health "bars". Such as Donkey Kong 64, Conkers Bad Fur Day, that one Jurassic Park game so on.

8 Games with the best party banter
8 games that spread positivity like Julez. 8 best alternative wrestling games that you wouldn't believe exist. 8 games that you wouldn't believe exist but wish you knew about sooner. WTF moments in games, that were worth investing towards. Love the content g's and especially the kind words said🤗
That note about even reviews can't be fully trusted hits home more today than ever before.
GTA the definitive edition makes Cyberpunk 2077 on its release look like a finished and polished game. Althogh a friend of mine claimed he played his game once and his manhood was dangling for all the world to see in the game. But the whole GT7 car purchasing for the real-life value did supposedly reduce the cost of some cars and you do earn more money per race. There are constant updates to the game with more tracks and more cars to be purchased. I started playing the game again and there is a big difference in the gameplay experience from day one when I originally purchased the game.
I hate hearing the closing music but I love the morale boost you give. It reminds me of a friend of mine who always said, "When one door closes, another opens!" (They worked at Boeing) But it makes me think, have you done a list of games that when they end really do leave you longing for more? Some of them do end up getting a follow-on, true, but there are those that don't. Not quite the list that was about teased sequels that never were, something where the developer left it there and the players were left feeling like they wanted more.
I have shadow of the colossus on ps2 and i have never felt the urge to replay that game
Lighting is looking way better Jules. Great to see the improvements in the new setup.
Can we get top ten fan theories that became cannon please
After finishing it the other day, this list needed Cyberpunk 2077, specifically Phantom Liberty for how literally all the story endings make you feel like a bad person
8 video game levels that it only takes one wrong move to screw it up (I swear to goodness the sewer escort in Jak 2 broke my soul as a kid and still does now)
Obsessed with that Horizon jacket. What’s on the back? Or is it just the logo on the front?
Or, something that I have been asking since day 1. Top ten swords! You can even do a deep cut version. Talk about the Dorgenblade from Rogue Galaxy or Ivy’s snake sword from Soul Caliber.
Listening while working out love the positivity Jules keep up the good work and thanks for the content!
Tuesdays with jules never fails to get a smile :)
"Duke Nukem Forever" knew exactly what it was and leaned into it, hard. I enjoyed the self-mockery quite a bit.
The GTA section... gold... (idea for the next "Choose" - 8 Heroes who's profession was never used... Mario never did any pluming)

Yet has more jobs under his belt than some other characters. The game and watch he has many jobs.
The fact I spent money on Starfield makes me hate myself everytime I see it in my library on steam.
Suggestion for the next video: Game flops that would have succeeded if they came out at a different time. Perhaps it was ahead of its time. Perhaps it was at the end of a trend. Perhaps it was overshadowed by a bigger franchise (i.e. Legend of Zelda, COD, etc.)

8 Video Games that made you feel like a kid discovering games for the first time ... RDR2, Callisto Protocol, Darkest Dungeon 2, Dota 2, Ghost of Tsushima - there's so much kino in the industry that there's bound to be enough material for a sweet video

BG3: Couldn’t go five minutes without being shocked at something I could do or an interaction the developer thought of, so much detail, haven’t been that taken aback by detail in a game since Morrowind.
I love your end speeches about loving yourself. Gets me trew the days
Thanks Jules KZread crashed on my iPad when you said you’d crash later. I personally didn’t have that many issues with the GTA Trilogy nor did I find 2K20 as bad as everyone else did.
8 games that allow total freedom to build and design anything you want with intricate systems. I.e- trailmakers, space engineers, terra tech….Minecraft…. And so on
8 hard unlock party members in Jrpgs that completely dominate once recruited.
Hearing Simon pronounce Cait Sith as Kite Shee last week was painful
I feel like we need a pick-me-up. how about games that made you feel good about yourself?
Someone gave me the dice from the Balls of Steel edition of Duke Nukem Forever. They were unusable because they both had two fours and no fives. Really true to the game. Also, franchises that need to come back from the dead.
8 crossovers that shouldn't work but did. Mario+rabbids is amazing and the xcom style play is perfect for it. Glad Nintendo went with it in the end :)
8 great musical characters video games
You. One. Hundred. Percent. NAILED! My exact thoughts about Gran Turismo 7...
There needs to be better regulation of changes to monetisation models after launch. For example, if you could have the option to refund a game if they change the monetisation within a certain time frame (e.g. 90 days), as it's no longer the same product as you purchased.

I don't even think there should be a time limit. If a publisher wants to implement micro-transactions then they should be required, by law, to disclose that before the game releases. Even if they are planning to wait to enable that feature. I also think they should be fined if they don't disclose that and offer full refunds for anyone who bought the game.
My biggest slap to the face was getting the premium edition of MK1. I think a lot who bought that felt played
You have a go at the Climb 2 for physical exertion but Ring Fit, Wii Fit, etc, Wii Sports, etc do that too
If you really want coffee that will kick you in the biscuits, get some Café Bustelo. Though you'll need to be able to brew espresso..
8 games that took your best friends (i.e., a game where the main antagonist attacks friends and family yo get at you or one where the villain is your best friend).
i need to know where you got that Biffy poster!
games with levels/area's/enemies that made you rage and want to break your controller or mouse

I thought you mention games like factorio where you wonder why you suddenly have no more energy - just to find out that you placed a conveyor belt in the wrong direction half a hour ago and have iron instead of coal 😅.
Retro games that require glitches to progress like Ghoul School for the NES

8 best fighting game franchises we don’t see anymore. I miss Bloody Roar 😢
at the end, i felt Jules' agony when Bless Online and Elyon came out. it was such a bad game when everyone was hoping it to be good and they barely got half of what people expected it to be.

If you run a commenter’s edition of this, I’d throw TLOU II on here. Whether you loved or hated it, I don’t think I’ve ever felt worse after playing a game.
Badass kids in video games(ex: Clementine, Ellie, Atreus, etc)
I remember when I got 2k20. I foolishly pre-ordered it and couldn't get a refund. This is the only time I have ever regretted buying a WWE game. 10 best games based on movies.
I wish I could double like this video; & thank you for such genuine content be good to yourself!
I don't think GTA: the Definitive Edition was bad because the studio didn't care. I think they were put under an unreasonable time crunch and had that shortened even further by RockStar because another game fell through and they needed something to release before the end of the quarter. But, it's not the studio that worked on it I blame, It's RockStar.
I accidentally selected New Game instead of Load Game on my second play through of Darksiders 3 as continuing from previous progress was messing up so yeah; I hate myself for doing that
My brother brought Duke nukem forever special edition but he got it on clearance for 20 bucks. 😅 My weekly suggestion: great animal companions.
6:20 I don't play Tekken but I was aware of the uproar over the shop. Now I find out people were rioting over $3.99...roflmao
Video game powers/abilities that would be bad to have in real life, or video game powers/abilities that would be pointless to have in real life.
Every time I hear I'm a massive ledge I wonder in what way I'm a massive immobile piece of flat scenery for people to step on. ... might actually be an interesting video topic, best ledges in video games... probably a little niche.
Games that ruin your chances at 100% if you don’t have a guide and miss a specific hidden action.
I loved your Ren Hoek impression in the mirror 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Had such large buyer’s remorse with Elden Ring it started me to analyze video games completely different. I hard nope anything with dodges and parries anymore. They’re all the same, regardless of how mashy the dps is. Silver lining is-I bought it on sale. Could not be more sick of homing attack vs dodges/parries difficulty. Been there done that. Want no more of it.
Video games that make you question your life choices
@molybdaen11
Ай бұрын
Like playing a virtual life like in fable 3 and regretting your choices or seeing that your real life could be way better if you followed the philosophy of the main character?
Just a friendly reminder that Wander was always the bad guy in SotC. He knew what he was doing the entire time. He knew Dormin was an ancient evil. He knew the Colossi were protecting the world. He knew the cost of it all. Hell, he probably stole Mono away from her homeland, to boot. He was always the bad guy of the story.
In situations where a game gets switched up post launch, like gran turismo, do y’all take down the before you buy video?
I played Duke Nukem Forever because I was bored and curious, but I rented it from redbox, so I didn't lose anymore than $3
8 Boss fights that failed to meet the difficulty curve. (i.e.. were pathetically easy versus the effort it took to reach them)
Farming simulator 22 gave me DLC buyers remorse realising that spending real life money on vehicles to use in game only meant that they were available to purchase with in game money for extremely high prices that take a long time to earn 🤦🏻♂️
