PATREON - www.patreon.com/ALPHAKYE I hope you all enjoyed that one! It was fun to make and there will be more coming. Keep in mind that I don’t have the luxury of using much game footage as I must stay within copyright guidelines. Therefore, clips are kept incredibly short and that's why there are lots of images. I realised there was an error in the timeline as well. I wrote the 2009 - Greg Inglis series twice when it was supposed to say, 2008 - Shock Changes, oops. Anyways, thanks for the ongoing support of this channel I am forever grateful!!!!

All good! What a legendary team... 11/12 series wins from 2006-2015! It would have been interesting to know what would have have happened if Queensland lost 2006 series instead of winning it! That 2006 win gave them so much momentum going forward! By the way, the videos on the playlist on my channel just might change someone's life!

The 2009 game 3 Price incident got my whole street angry. I lived next to unit blocks on both sides, the whole street was going ballistic. When Locky was talking to the boys before they put it up, everyone knew what was coming. Hearing my placid neighbours scream for blood is funny now, the whole state was furious. The Blues had to know what was coming but poor Gidley was alone at the back. Stull makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up thinking on it, we were born to hate the Blues, hate isn't strong enough. Despise.

@@grandmalseashore yep, was unlike him. It looked like he was trying to put it in the middle of them but it just kept going, would've been better if he chipped it to one of the forwards. My uncle lives at Banora point, right on top of the hill. When he and my father were little my grandfather got posted to a base in Sydney, that day he said he had a blood transplant to NSW blood while dad stayed loyal. Origin meant so much to my dad, he had to pick me up from training one night and the game had just started. He screams at me to run to the car and he drove like a maniac to get home, even going down a one way street the wrong way and doing a handbrakie. All totally out of character normally, but origin time he would change. Passed it on to me but my boys don't care much at all. Switched at birth or the milkman got to the missus maybe.

I see a few foreigners in the comments, great to see. Origin would go viral if put in front of the right crowd. Hopefully League does spread from the few countries it's big in and test football gets like this. The old Great Britain v Australia tests were brutal, absolute carnage while also being great contests. The 90 series is some of the best footy I've ever seen, it's on KZread. Game 2 1990 is the best test match I've ever seen, i go back and watch it occasionally.

The greatest satisfaction of the 8 STRAIGHT is that Blues press and commentators unusually started calling for an end to Origin after the 2005 series. They argued that the 25 years had been enough, and that recent NSW dominance had settled the issue. What they did not mention was that, for the FIRST TIME, NSW had finally pulled ahead by a single game overall, and without having to pretend about the L.A. exhibition match. THAT is why they were desperate to end the story AS SOON as they had bragging rights. Needless to say, 8 in a row, then 3 in a row, and now 14 from the 18 series 2006 to 2023, currently the champs and NSW lost their best coach in decades last year and replaced with a bloke who was sacked by his club for poor results a month ago, plus we are up 1 this year with the Sydney game done after the tactic of smashing Qld backs from kickoffs receiving justice instead of 10 in the bin and back to 13 men. Origin IS Maroon, and WE say when it is over. It is how Queenslanders having moved south to the old Sydney comp had any chance of getting selected for the Kangaroos. The interstate series imbalance was that southern Maroons unable to displace the Blue incumbent did not then become available for Qld. They just vanished. It is how we avoided the fate of having our best play against us, when they were selected for the Blues. Harry Bath, having already played in Maroon, had no choice once he headed south to change the game for the better forever. Just one case in point. Most of all, it is how we stopped the Blue boasting built on a hobbled, lacklustre comp broadcast only on radio, and turned them into Blosers while creating a sports marketing behemoth now world popular. A generation of NSW kids did not see a NSW series win for the first 8 years of watching, and have had bugger all since. Once Origin began, the rise of our national presence took hold, and would see the team almost all Maroons in time. Where they belong. When Rabs Warren dies, his legacy will be to have elevated to Immortal status the grubby bloke he adored but that could not match Alfie head to head. Origin proved that fact. Waiting patiently until Lockyer, Smith and Thurston get their gongs. In the meantime, suffer and die, Blue dogs.

From an afl perspective, seems to me QLD simply had a settled core group of champions- and just like the aussie cricket team of the late 90s on were just lucky to be able to call on gr8ness on every line 3specially with those sorta play makers. And like all dynastys they would only have the occassional blip, usually due to some either amazing play or great coaching feat which would only be a one off. The tide will turn, but who knows which state will be lucky with having a great group of stars with all the right team attributes at the same time again... it may very well be qld again!?!

As a neutral from WA , the origin breakthrough for the Blues in 2014 was very poorly officiated. You could tell the referee moved heaven and earth to give advantage to the blues, probably as part of an effort to bring parity to origin again. Thats my major gripe with rugby league, it's curated to try and undermine teams that grow to be too dominant. Whats the point of watching if the results are guided towards a predetermined outcome?

No dude. During games one and two, Qld had too many of our key role players ruled out to injury. Qld slogged NSW in the third game when all our players had returned from injury. Referees don't win or lose origin matches or series.

@@brettg82au Well maybe your memories better than mine, but I distinctly remember Aaron Woods' arm grazing a punted QLD ball that ran dead and it was never even checked by the multiple referees, despite it clearly making contact with his arm on the replay. that along with all the high tackles and dump tackles that were consistently overlooked during that time period. That blues playing group from that era (gallen, bird, fifita, watmough etc) were notoriously thuggish around the field and referees constantly turned a blind eye to it (and they still do in origin today, but both teams are pretty thuggish now)

@@Waywind420 only soft cocks blame origin outcomes on refereeing. If Qld wanted to win, they shoulda dug deeper. I get zero satisfaction from Qld wins when referees pelt penalties toward them

I'm a NSW fan, why am I punishing myself by watching this? Such a stacked team that had so much experience playing together in club and eventually in rep footy. The only chance NSW ever had was trying to bash Queensland up.

What team work does, it wins you 8 straight series. The Blues even from the inception have not know how to play as a whole team and have not been as loyal with players
