    I agree! I often think that those routine videos don't have character, if you know what I mean. Most of them recommend the five same routines and the life of the KZreadr seems so fulfilled. Jenny did it in a way where she just shows her process and what helps her to get better and it may help other people as well.

    I’ve realized that the fear of trying is one of the main reasons I procrastinate. It is easier to nestle into the comfort of knowing you didn’t put your all in or just did something at the last minute rather than accepting failure. Thank you for being real as you show your journey of growth and self-improvement.

    I feel like we think the same!!! I’m super go-with-the-flow which is great, but yeah it also leads to letting things pile up. And I live in my head alllllll the time. I’m not a do-er I just think about doing things and put them on a mental to-do list till I feel paralyzed by the amount of stuff. Also not putting in the effort bc it creates a cushion of not having tried my best. Literally all things I’ve thought for years. Thank you for making this ❤️

    I just want to say that you have a genuine energy about you. I know no one is perfect, but you seem to be a person that tries to be nice to everyone. SOOO many KZreadrs put on this face for the camera and pretend they are great people, and while I don't think they are terrible people, I still do not get as positive energies from them. Their channels are often very fake and I catch them in a lot of lies throughout their videos. But every time I watch you, you just seem to genuinely be kind hearted. Thank you for that.

    While watching this video I made some lists of small things that I do that make me feel good (making my bed, waking my dog, watering my plants, etc). Then I made a list of things that make me feel good that I need to start incorporating into my routine (morning stretches, reading books, riding my bike, etc). Seeing these side by side helped me realize how I can easily I could incorporate all of them!

  • @coin5p
    @coin5p3 жыл бұрын

    I’ve always been a very morning routine oriented person, and one other tip i want to share is to set up check ins throughout your routine to make sure you move your attention to the present. Otherwise, routines can over time feel like habits you zombie your way through too! So maybe it means you see you don’t need a coffee that day or prefer a meditation over a run that day - it will help you find a more sustainable routine to keep up with based off your current needs.

    This made a lot of sense to me. I call it being on the cruise control. Where I'm here, talking, breathing, gesturing, and yet, I'm a hundred miles away from the present situation. And for me, I'd take that cruise control mechanism to scan everything I'm saying, or looking at to make sure I'm okay and not going crazy. It is so energy consuming. Your brain works twice as hard to keep track of the conversation and to do it's usual scan of dangers. That's why I'm always so tired after seeing my friends. I feel you. A few grounding techniques:1. Breath work. lots of it. 2. Sitting down with my feet on the ground and focus my attention on my feet. Litterally grounding them to the floor. 3. Naming all the things around me with my senses. And well lastly, a good therapist and some medication was the last thing I tried and it's been quite a journey accepting the fact I was on meds but now I know I can stop suffering. I feel you.

    i’ve had some time off of work and have similarly started working out or doing some form of fun exercise every day for the first time in YEARS! for as much as i have always hated/dreaded working out, it’s surprisingly had the opposite effect and lifted my mood more than i thought, even if just for the sense of accomplishment at committing to those 20-30 minutes. i’m also an avid reader in general but have been reading more than ever in quarantine! i suggest checking out a local indie bookstore and browsing (safely) in person or online, even if just for ideas of what to check out from the library or buy used! there are so many new voices out there and i love getting to chat with the staff members who love sharing recommendations. thanks for sharing these tips! ❤️

    Waah I can relate to all the things you said! Thank you :) I've always done the dreaming away/ shutting of my environment and not do the small basic stuff that prevents you from "sunburn" and all the other things that could have been prevented. I am really good at being flexible but i really thrive having a good old routine.

    You are so wise Jenny. I loved what you had to say about exercise because I’m in a similar spot as well. It feels so much more sustainable for me to exercise to support and take care of my body vs. using it to try and alter my physical appearance.

    You are a beautiful person! Lots of these techniques have been huge in my self-care / growth too. I also will spend extra efforts on being present and mindful, meditation has really helped!

    I'm going through a similar journey right now, but the part where you talk about catching yourself with negative thoughts was something I totally agree makes a huge difference. Even though I'm doing a lot better at catching it, it can still be hard to actually stop thinking it or doing something to change it. It makes me feel like I know how to read, but not to write. It was also a lot easier to be mindful when I was on summer vacation, but now that school is starting again, I'm worried I'll lose the great habits I've built over the last couple of months. But I'm gonna stay positive!

    Your videos have been helping me keep my chin up. I just went back to school and it’s so weird and disorienting and not very fun because of covid... but hearing you talk about your own struggles and how you’re dealing with them really inspires me to do the same 🥰 PROTECT JENNY AT ALL COSTS 🥺🥺🥺🦥🦦
