I haven't purchased any clothes or shoes in over 10 years. For Christmas and birthdays, I ask for those 😂 I use credit cards for all purchases made even if its $2. At the end of the year, my points cover all of my gifts to my family. Life is great when you are a minimalist.

I'm on a slow-ish minimalism journey for about 7 years. I don't have a donation box per se. I have boxes of things I sell and things I'd be happy to give friends and family as presents instead. The reason it's a slow journey is mainly because I'm trying to use up the things I have and paid money for. Unless it's something that affects me or it's expired, I won't throw it away for the sake of space. The space has been acquired with time. There's a huge noticeable difference with my home now vs 7 years ago so I know I'm on the right path!

I've noticed that my oldest clothes in my collection come from one brand. They aren't cheap to the point where it can easily be hoarded, but they aren't expensive to the point where I would be upset paying full price. I also struggle with sizing and have learned my lesson in the past with ordering online so I only buy clothes if I'm able to try it on in person. It usually discourages me from buying the item because it does not look the way I expected :')

if I go shopping I take pictures of items I like so I have it on my phone in a folder in a few weeks time I end up deleting the picture cause I’m like I don’t need that or why did I want that I would never use it. This has helped me save so much money and consuming less junk and if I continue to still want it I keep my eye out for a similar item on Vinted or in a thrift store. I used to walk into a shop and would end up walking out with a couple items even that I never ended up using it was just cause it was on a pretty display but I can proudly say I can walk around a shop and not buy a single thing. I been so much happier and more content with the items I already own and I treasure what I own more then I ever have now where before it would just get left in a draw or a pile never to be touched or worn cause it had no value to me.
