I've been dashing in Sacramento for 3 weeks 4 to 5 days a week usually in the evenings. The worst offenders in Sacramento California or Chipotle, they're straight-up notorious for half hour waits. A vendor called - Mart Oh, They'll have you waiting up to an hour. The McDonald's Taco Bells and normal major fast-food chains are alright in Sac. You're absolutely right about all the major restaurant chains. I would have to add that in addition to looking out for those pickups avoiding any drop offs to the Amazon hubs. The people that work at Amazon are super entitled and have this feeling like oh I'll just run out. The parking lots are huge and full of speed bumps and a customers usually take 10 minutes or more to come out and I swear I don't think I've gotten one tip out of any of them.

Also McDonald's! Packaging ice cream in the same sealed bag with several hot combos. Then the customer rates you bad because the ice cream is melted.

This is going to depend on the McDonald's store you are going to. I went to a ghetto McDonald's, not only were they slow, I watched the girl who got the drinks ready place them in the double drink carrier, put that dead center in the bag and then a couple minutes later, the older lady who put the food together in it's bag walked over looked in the delivery bag, set the food directly on top of the drinks, then sealed the bag (poorly)! Not even joking. I opened it, rearranged it and sealed it. Gave them a thumbs down. Went to another McDonald's, they gave me the food in the bag and the milkshake and mcflurries in a separate drink carrier.

In my market, Taco Bell and BWW are okay. CFA takes too long at times. The worst in my market is IHOP and Applebee’s.

Wingstop should be on that list too!!

I agree but my Wingstop has typically started on the order when I get there. I think I usually get orders that just hit the system and they just started the order because it was just placed. I think in my market, people tip well for Wingstop so they don't get cycled around too much before a dasher accepts it.

Might definitely have to add Wingstop. It’s ALWAYS a wait. Raising Canes are horrible to wait for inside but if you go through the drive thru it’s 10x’s faster

I really liked the Chipotle I went to. It had a well-organized shelf full of takeout bags for Doordash and you could just walk up, grab the bag with the name on it, and leave.

I DoorDash in Burbank Ca, and The pay out for me is average $9-$12 I really like chick fil a orders, of course not all order are like that but most of the time it is when I receive them

Chicken Express in Dallas, TX do the same 🙄. They knew I was a dasher and knew the order. And even did the drive thru orders before they started my order

I avoid Taco Bell like the plague. It’s usually going to an area outside my zone and to a dangerous one at that. For me it’s pizza parlors and Applebee’s that I avoid.

Richmond, Virginia's Cheesecake Factory is nice. They never have me waiting. Never disappoints in RVA.

I always decline McDonald’s orders, those customers consistently never tip. It’s not worth the $3 for me to spend up to 30 minutes and drive 8-12 miles.

I accept McD's orders from customers who tip. You can deduce if the customer's tipping or not: order amount - Doordash base pay amount - Doordash peak pay amount, if any = projected customer tip. If that amount is below $2-3, I'll decline the order.

My least favorite place to pick up a dash is Starbucks not because of they are slow but because the people almost never tip & the offers are really not that great

I've great experiences with tips when I deliver for Starbucks. But most my Starbuck orders are on the UberEats platform...not DD.

Really, there's no universal list to avoid, you have to know your market and the restaurants(and managers) to avoid. I know places where certain managers put the whole place behind but others have orders done quickly(wingstop). It's the compensation to time ratio that is my main guide.

Lol your list is the same as mine. Although these slow restaurants can work in your favor if you can do another job while waiting. Postmates or Uber Eats is a good choice because they dispatch late which equals little wait time.

What I need to know is how to keep doordash from sending me into the absolute worst parts of town to make deliveries. Today they have done this consistently. And I activate my doordash while the best parts of town.

There are restaurants that I have not been to in over a month and I do this full time. I know they are still getting orders from DD. Red Robin in my area WAS HORRIBLE! So after 3 strikes they were out for me.

Cracker Barrel in Kingwood TX is ridiculously slow. I almost always decline their order

I agree with what you said about California Pizza Kitchen. I usually arrive and see that it's basically empty so I get really happy and then the employee tells me it should be ready soon and then it's ready 20 -30 mins later ....

I get a shit ton of chic filet bs $3.00 orders. I will say they have their act together n a special place to park. That is after I’ve waited for 10 min trying to actually get in the parking lot! It’s totally insane but they are always super nice n quick w food even only they would open up a lane that is roped off w cones for ppl to drive around. I’m sure there’s a reason for it and I imagine it’s the safety of their employees not getting fucking run over in the parking lot over three dollar chicken sandwich give me a break

The Buffalo Wild Wings in Citrus Heights, CA is great! They are always on time, and often already have it prepared when I arrive.

Chik Fil A in my area is 5 min or less wait time. MN Vikings are my big CFA customer. Nice tips.

Ihop, Denny’s are super slow in my area Streetsboro Ohio. Also I’m about to add and hate to say this Chipotle they were always on top of their game. But lately last few weeks it seems they are now not making the orders and having them ready until the given pickup by time. I’m reluctant to do so because I do get them frequently and a lot of stacked batches. Which even now I’m waiting for the stacked batches. I’ve actually left the one chipotle to deliver the food and went back to get the other two I accepted while walking in for the 1st order. Another time I just left and reassigned because the order still wasn’t ready 8 minutes past my pickup by time. chipotle really starting to kill me.

My P.F. Chang’s is really good it pumps out some of the best orders next to Benihana’s

Old Chicago Pizza and Taproom is another place I usually avoid. They are super friendly and usually give you a drink while you wait. The problem, like several you mentioned in the video, is that they won't start making the food till you get there. And this is not fast food, so it takes a while.

I avoid all fast food now. Went to CFA the other day and sat there for 15 minutes.

Totally agree on Chick fe la...not worth it.

Heads up about Buffalo Wild Wings - They recently rolled out a Dasher rating on their end. They rate you on multiple different levels. 1-5 scale. I've got close with people there, and they let me know. I'm guessing it's built into their restaurant side of the app. Which makes me assume that restaurants can now rate us. I was told this just the other week. Keep this in mind!

Great information. I would add to only go to these restaurants if they are your last dash of the shift. You're right about Five Guys. I did a delivery for them and was waiting a while for the food.

I haven't been doing Door Dash very long, but I've done four Buffalo Wild Wings orders and every one has made me late on delivery. I did a 2 item order on a Sunday night around 10:30. They only had two customers in there and I still had to wait 20-25 min. The only way I'm ever accepting another one is if the money is insane.

Nice video. I don't have a few of the restaurants that you mentioned in my market (Missoula, MT): Cheesecake Factory, P.F. Changs, and California Pizza Kitchen. Thus, I haven't dashed to them. I haven't dashed to the Buffalo Wild Wings in town. The Red Robin just closed and filed for bankruptcy. The Chick Fil A outlet here is EXCELLENT! -- undoubtedly the most well-managed fast food restaurant in town. 5 Guys and Taco Bell are consistently good here. They also prepare their orders in advance of the delivery driver's arrival. The only restaurant that I have on my current "black list" is Popeye's.

Hooters in Arlington, and Chick Fil A, next to it are both really slow. I've had 30-45 minutes wait time at Hooters every time, and 15=20 minutes at Chick Fil A, even during slower hours. So if I have a 6-7 dollar order, after gas, and time, it can be way less than minimum wage to accept these orders.

I dash in West Michigan and totally agree with you. If any new Dashers in West MI read this beware of the Rivertown Crossings mega mall, Many national chains located there and parking is a nightmare and the food court is on the 2nd floor and you will waste an hour because of the long walks. It will be a Wilson ave address. I learned the hard way.

Ihop takes way too long in my area and their equipment always messes up. I wait a long time at checkers too but at least they’re nice. A few McDonald’s and Burger Kings take up to 25 mins to put the order together. Checkers will give me fries! And drinks sometimes..

Chili’s and Applebee’s in my area are always suuuuper slow. Food’s never ready, slow service, and they always have a none caring attitude about it. Chili’s to-go line is always out the door 🤦🏾‍♀️...I’ve stopped accepting orders from them both, not worth my time!

Unassigned my last Chili's order. When I left the two lady's that started wait 10 minutes before I got there were still waiting. Add to that the fact that it's positioned on the main strip with no back way out and will take another 5 to 10 minutes to get out if I have to turn left (the order is always going left) without getting t-boned.

From San Fernando Valley, All the wing "joints" are pretty fast, Taco Bell, Del Taco, Wendy's,.McD, are pretty fast, use the drive thru! PFChangs, usually inside malls, long walking and not ready, I decline it, Cheese CF, and CPK not bad, and good pay Chick fillet, Five guys, and Fireside Subs, SUCKS, take way too long, and they claim they have told DD but DD don't care..

I mean go inside if you want to, but why would you want to get out of your car if you don't have to? The majority of Wendy's orders aren't complicated and the wait isn't that long if the drive thru isn't packed. I used to avoid Wendy's orders but I take them all now. Easy money.

I am in the western Chicago suburbs. National chains I usually have the longest wait at are Panda Express, Millers Ale House (really bad), On the Border, Chili's (and takes forever to get noticed at the to-go area at all locations I've been to), Red Lobster, 5 Guys, California Pizza Kitchen and CFA. I avoid all red card orders so not sure about Taco Bell, etc. Surprisingly, I've never waited at a BWW and I frequent about 5 different locations.

Steak and Shake and Ruby Tuesday's in Ohio! Waited 30 mins last night at Ruby Tuesdays. Ughhhhh 🤦🤦🤦

When they do that I call doordash and complain and then they call Burger King and ask them why are they telling the Dashers its ready when it's not. They get super pissed I love it

Here in San Diego Lolitas taco shop always gets bombarded by orders, usually a few dashes will be in there waiting for there order before you even arrive. Not to include the walk in customers waiting as well.Terrible wait and employees always seem confused and not able to handle lunch/dinner rush. Also 1 hour wait at popeyes chicken when chick fil a and popeyes were battling it out for best chicken sandwich,never again, and i didn't even get tipped ughhhh lol...

Buffalo Wild Wings in Oklahoma is great, they have an area of the restaurant dedicated to carry out and delivery. Everything ready on time.

Red Robin is definitely the slowest. Whenever I get an order for there I never rush to the store because I always end up waiting at least 10 minutes, sometimes 15-20. I was surprised you didn't mention Hooters - they're alway slow, even if the restaurant is dead. I don't know why people order Hooters to be delivered - it's like Walmart brand quality microwave food. Yuck. I don't mind CFA orders, but it seems like most CFA customer don't tip so those runs are never worth it anymore. McDonald's is probably the absolute worst. Nothing but imbeciles and morons working there. They'll put cold food and hot food in the same bag. WTF!?

I agree with you on Hooters. Especially on grubhub and uber eats. For real, the last time I waited at a hooters on GH, I was there OVER AN HOUR and in spite of a cluster fuck in the line, TWO doordashers still got their food, in out ten minutes. I mean if you don't wanna be partners to certain gigs that's fine, BUT DO NOT inconvenience the drivers and customers!!!

Good list. Denny's and IHOP. Sometimes Blaze Pizza. But that is with most pizza places as pizza takes time and APP doesn't allocate enough time for pickup. Don't get orders from Cheesecake Factory anymore. Think I was low rated by them because the last time I was there I kept telling them the dessert wasn't in the order and they kept telling me it was. Not a pleasant staff because we get the tips. Not missed at all.

Stay away from Popeyes Chicken in Buena Park California. Their lobby was closed causing a huge traffic jam at the drive thru. Ends up the customer was never informed that their order was cancelled after 30 minutes of waiting. I agree with Buffalo Wild Wings. They let one of their orders get stolen by someone and it had to be remade, wasting more time for delivery.

the pizzerias in my area (fredericksburg, va) are on my decline list. they don’t even start the order until i get there. also, restaurants like ihop and applebee’s just take too long.

I usually never have a huge problem in my area with a lot of those restaurants except Cheesecake Factory, the Lexington location is horrible. The Louisville Cheesecake Factory I never have to wait long for some reason. Should’ve definitely added McDonald’s to that list, the ones in my area suck on all delivery platforms, especially on 3rd shift

BWW in the strip mall locations in St Paul area is great. I think it's all about location

You picked all the right restaurants As far as weight time Taco Bell in my market is the worse I don't care how much the offer I is I will not do it Buffalo Wild Wings is the 2nd good video

Chik Fila customers in my exp tip really well, and have the highest rate of increasing the tip post order at least in my area.

Almost every Indian restaurant in my area operates on Indian Time ....

Taco Bell is fine most of the time you have place the order, I always go to the closest one to me when I get the order

In the eastern region of Conneticut is slow with family owned businesses only because orders are placed but not enough dashers in my area to take orders,so they wait till a dasher arrives for the order then to be placed aggh

BWW, most Red Robins, and CPK here in the Western Burbs of Chicago are fairly quick even when busy. Five Guys here often has food almost or completely done when I arrive and often offer me a free drink. Chik Fil A starts when I arrive and I get lots of orders for them. I often use this time to use the restroom. I just leave my bag at the counter. Generally, my order is done when I return. In my area, I avoid Steak n Shake, Denny's, and Outback,

I'm ok with BWW as long as the value is there. They don't take long in my region. 5 guys isn't a wait for me but the value usually isn't there :( Chipotle is one that takes forever at peak time in downtown Birmingham, AL. The outer cities are a little faster.

Interesting. Chipotle here prepares to go orders ahead of time and sets them in a rack.. usually ready ahead of time

Stonefire..1000 oaks CA...there is many workers but just chatting even manager is around noyhing change..always missing items.. food takes forever ..costumer get mad of drivers ..even is not your bad. :(

Here's my feedback in my area (Richmond, VA): Cheesecake Factory: I haven't dashed for them, but they are slow everywhere (just based as a customer). Taco Bell: Depends if they are busy. I use the drive-thru, and it is usually not too bad. Buffalo Wild Wings: Definitely slow, and I have had many problems there too, including them running out of wings (how does that even happen?). I also avoid them no matter what the payout is. To be fair, I have only dashed for one of their stores before. PF Changs: I haven't dashed for them, no feedback. Red Robin: Depends. It can be slow sometimes. but they do double-check the orders, which I appreciate. I noticed that my Red Robin only gives fries to Door Dash and not Grub Hub =). I also like that they usually have an employee specifically for take out orders. Chik-Fil-A: Depends. I avoid them at peak times, but if you check in with someone quickly, it is usually fairly reasonable. I also always click that I have arrived before I even park. Five Guys: Depends. A little slow, but not too bad usually. I usually have to wait for a little while if they have fries. California Pizza Kitchen: I haven't dashed for them, no feedback. Some restaurants are managed and staffed better than others. For example, some of my Friday's are ridiculously slow, and some are pretty reasonable. The same goes for Applebees. I would add Cracker Barrel to the list too. I agree that the payouts for the ones I know will be slower would have to be higher for me to take them.

Applebee's are usually so poorly managed. Cracker Barrel experiences have been bad but I can't believe Denny's wasn't on this list.

PF Chang needs to stay on this list. I was late doing a delivery for them.

I went to Chick-fil-a the other day when I was doing a dash and it was the worst, especially with all this strange social distancing stuff it was doing (I say strange because no other restaurant want doing it like this). There was a very long drive-thru line and then another shorter but still long line for people who've ordered online and I was pretty confused about where I should go

I've had a few long waits at my Dunkin donuts in Cincinnati,Ohio..

Ah, a fellow cincinnatian.. you ever notice how the following restaurants are slow in our area: * mac's pizza pub * some place called ragg dolls * Ritchie's chicken * buckhead mountain grill * Hooters * iHop

I'm in S. Ca. and the one place that really sucks is Outback. No less than a 15 min wait. Lesson learned. Also, it seems that Wild Wings doesn't even start the order until you show up. No Mc D's or TB, either.

Chipotle has been the place I’ve donated most of my time waiting for the orders.

Opposite for me chipotle in my area is amazing. Jersey Mike's on the other hand no thank you.

Chick-Fil-A in Oklahoma is wonderful, everything ready every time.

I’ve seen a door dash driver waiting at chipotle during lunch hour for over 25 minutes. I’ve seen the in person line clear out 3-4 time before I got my mobile order

Cheese cake factory is funny. I dash in 2 areas here in CT, in one of the area's even at 2 PM on a Monday I'll be waiting forever, and one time I was there it took like 45 minutes to get the order out. In the other area it's not bad at all, even on a Friday/Saturday night the longest I waited was about 15 minutes, and for some reasons the payout is about $2-$3 more in that location then the location which sucks, so I'll almost always take those.

I do alot of chick fila and I find no matter how busy they are they are soo organized that I always get taken care of right away in the Cherry Hill NJ area

That's the one good thing about soon starting doordash I can just drive to my food again. I'm already out.

For me, when I get the stink eye or ignored as soon as I walk in with the red bag that's a red flag that I shouldnt come back. A lot of local places seem to have a bad relationship with Dashers.

I had a hostess see the bag and say "oh no.." and she walked away. What are other dashers doing to these people lol? I just want the food

Chicken filet never never never. Absolutely the worst. Cheesecake factory is bad, but not as bad as Chicken filet. I waited 30 minutes for an order today, then I decided to get my uber app on, had a ping right away, $28 ride. Unassigned the dash deliver as soon as I received the ping from uber. My time is worthy. Never going back to that restaurant again. True is restaurant staff think we are taking their tips, so they don't care. Five Guys is awful too. That's a no no

Chick-fil-A usually has my food ready when I arrived on the shelf, taco bell is fast, Miller's steak house and some McDonald's are great in Orlando. The worst are Ihop, Wingstop, some Denny's, cheesecake factory, some checkers locations, and Juniors Columbian burgers especially on idrive are the worst in Orlando.

Subway is usually fast in my area too

The chick fil by me is awesome. They have a separate drive thru line for mobile/dd orders. And it’s way faster. There’s never usually no more than 3 or 4 cars

Bob Evans in Hershey Pa. I waited 15 minutes and finally the girl realized that my order was there the whole time. Of course I had 2 orders so one was getting ice cold. It’s a complete cluster and they are blacklisted.

I dash in Reynoldsburg Ohio and I LOVE Buffalo Wild Wings orders :) I usually get the higher payouts and never have to wait more than 2-3 minutes for the order. They have take out parking that I use right by the door :) sorry you don’t like them!

TGIF: very slow and they put all the food in same to go container. In my area I have people who can’t have beef 🥩 or pork and it creates an issue. McDonalds: when I go thru the drive thru to pick up the order and they tell me I have to come in that means it’s not ready so I cancel.

Wendy’s is the worst along with McDonalds because they put every last thing in a bag and seal it shut. I have no control over the order. I can’t prevent it from shifting or putting the drink in a cold hold. American Deli is my favorite. Always ready and they always include everything.

The Dairy Queen in my area is downright horrendous. They have no clue what they are doing. I refuse to pick up orders there.

Chick fil a! The employees are always super nice to me though so I don't mind. I do not like Wendy's orders or any orders that come through that I have to place myself- it's always a longer wait. I've been getting grocery orders lately too and if it's under $10 for a grocery delivery, I don't accept it. One time I had a grocery order with 50+ bags of groceries! It almost didn't fit in my car LOL!!! Thankfully the customers were very nice and helpful and tipped me well. Wingstop is the worst for me. Always over a 20 min wait for food

YES! The Taco Bell here in Magnolia, Tx is VERY slow! The Door DASH driver here is usally waiting 15 mins from time they walk into restaurant

In my area the app doesn’t tell us if we have to place the order where get there. The distances are long here too I have practically quit this point because a long drive plus the time to place the order just isn’t worth it.

As a customer, the only time I get mad is if the app tells me that the dasher has picked up my order, and 15 minutes later I look at the app map and see the driver is still at the restaurant. This has happened to me 3 times with the same dasher and from the same restaurant. Haven't had any issues with other dashers doing this to me.

Chick-fil-A just changed the model. They were on my black list but I took an order outside of peak hours and for the first time the food was ALREADY ready the last two times I accepted it.

Waited over 30 minutes the other day after I arrived at a Denny’s the other day, actually yesterday, Sunday.

Zaxbys in Fort Mill SC is very slow

I avoid Chick-Fi-La where I live because it’s not organized and the parking lot is a complete disaster. You can’t even go inside so you have to wait for a while.

I'm from Texas. And the restaurant I had the worst experiences are the Wingstops. There are a total of two of them in the city I live in. There's one by Chili's that always takes FOREVER just to get the door dash order ready. They never have the order ready every time I arrive and they always make me wait 15 minutes or more. I got sick of it and just stopped going to that one Wingstop restaurant. One time they took so long, I just straight up cancelled the delivery while I was in the restaurant and walked right out without the customer's order without saying anything. It's been almost two months since the last time I went to that Wingstop. Whenever I see an order from the Wingstop by Chili's, I decline it. I refuse to pick up an order from that one no matter how high the pay is.

Definitely agree with you about Cheesecake Factory and chick fila. Chipotle is slow and too busy to be bothered with unless the payout is high...my five guys in atl is super fast...but I hate when people order milkshakes they don’t keep well on the drive.
