Rupee devalue 28 percent in last 1 years. Our dividends earning is max 15 percent. My portfolio dividend is 11 percent return. Means I am in 17 percent loss this year. Only if I kept money in AED it would have better returns. This year is very bad. Also I am not adding the portfolio value drop. It will make me feel more bad.....😅

Wali bhai, I think considering capital gain is much more beneficial than waiting for divideneds. The % of dov8deneds os i guess on face value or the value of the stock at the beginning i might b wrong.But as per the calculations the purchase of the stock after the dividened entitlement date when share price is at absolute low and selling before or between ex date and entitlement of divideneds date will give more value than waiting for dividened. Please say something about it. We may name it as a medium term strategy. Neither long term nor short term. You may calculate with SYS shares

That's why I gave the example of Amazon and Apple :) I never take the dividends yield on face value. I consider the dividends yield based on the current value of stock. While the dividend paying stock will reduce exactly the same amount after paying the dividend - but if it continues with same trend, it means it has actually yielded the amount to you which was paid throughout the year as cash. Best case scenario like EFERT/APPLE will appreciate in value + pay the dividends.

@@WaliKhan_2k got it. But i calculated MTL's dividened last paid was 45. With 500 shares I will get 19k approx after 15% tax for example from maximum side. However if i calculate with appreciation of 100 which is least possible for 500 share it will be 42500 after 15% tax. So as you said we will get the same through divideneds seems not working. Please say something

AoA Wali bhai, I have heard now we can open cdc sub account with only 2000 and that too for both regular (without trader) and premium (with trader). So can you please guide me should I go with premium or regular as I have to submit documents today.

I wont suggest premium - go for regular and learn and invest yourself. JUST MAKE SURE YOU INVEST VERY SMALL AMOUNT TO BEGIN WITH.

On every cdc account linked to RDA Ktrade is giving a trader irrespective of what account opening limit is. However minimum limit with cdc should be more than 5k as cdc holds 5k for brokrage charges and clearance fees.

I think mutual funds are not performing because our stock market is not performing well. It is not MF fault
