This African brother not only made Black Africa proud but he also makes us (African descendants) in the diaspora proud as well. Well done Mr. Diebedo Francis Kere.
Kere, doesn't follow- he leads! And he leads through his wisdom, by staying connected to his roots, to the earth. And that's the reason, his works are so alive and always evolving, like nature itself. Thank you putting up this video on Kere. He is inspirational! 👍🏻

I wholeheartedly agree with this comment. Mr Kéré’s work needs to be taught in all Western schools of architecture.

@@aodhanofailain Mr Kéré’s work needs to be taught in all Western schools of architecture.. they already has.. but Kéré’s concept is not new.. in the far east its a thousand years old already..
I like how he matches the colour of the building to the natural colour of the soil . Using bright colour for example in Kenya makes the buildings look old when rain pours and soil splashes on the walls.
What a magical architect and an inspiration to me as an architect from Kenya
Your ancestry created extremely beautiful artifacts which even caught the eyes of European colonists who stole them. This show how talented we are in creativity. So embrace architecture and take it to a higher level with an African twist

Caught the eyes of what, mud huts and thought we need to help these people.
The most interesting thing about his work is the involvement of the community, I mean imagine the space you are using that you have built.
I love that despite being an internationally employed architect, his work seems to be directed to being experienced by everyone. It's rooted instead of grandiose.
Was so happy to learn Kéré got Pritzker, he deserves it at the highest level
Breathtaking.
BELOVED HE HAS MADE HUMANITY PROUD. HIS WORK LEAVES US SPEECHLESS
Burkinabé must be drinking magical water. How can a people give us a Thomas Sankara AND Francis Kéré?
The way Kere uses locally sourced materials, updates traditional building methodologies, and brings people of the community together to participate in the construction of his projects is quite visionary. His works undoubtedly become a huge source of local pride. Especially endearing is that many of his projects are designed for children. Perhaps some of them will find his works inspire them to study architecture.
This great architect from Kenya deserved the Pritzker Award ! Awesome, indigenous, functional, beautiful!

Amazing, what an inspiration!
Such beautiful and innovative designs that define the people of the Motherland. Kere is an inspiration for the entire globe to enrich their knowledge and desire for Indiginous architecture. My nephew is a budding architect. I'm turning him on to this genius unless he already knows about him.😅 Thanks for the exposure Mr. Kere!
Am so proud him
Thank you for sharing Keres work.
Grateful to you
Respect to Diebedo... 👊🏾👍🏾 genius artistry

Coffee Table Book on his architexture!
I liked some of the designs in theory but the coordinates seems to be off as with most people. Like the residential area - built all out in center. Each house is individual and should have been placed on lots taking taking the physical environment in consideration. Then leaving space between areas designing for instance in increments of 12 block increments with each area having its own uniqueness. If the house built on lots you can build over time with each family having their privacy. Thanks for letting me share. You know the floors. Would you consider designing floors off the ground.
I would like to see Wang Shu featured like this!

Vivienda digna !
Africain ar strong 💪
This is serious ...
Governor pritzker will do anything for the black vote.did the other architects even have a chance?
A big fear is that Africa is letting China buy so much and influence what goes on with land resources. I hope that African architects and builders will innovate with the materials and skills that they have.
Tomorrow, they'll say it not made by a black man but n allien😂😂😂😂
" A prayer to go to HEAVEN " John 3:36 kjv Lord I am a sinner and I believe that JESUS died on the cross for my sins. Buried afterwards, then rose from the dead. Read Luke 23:42-43 in your Bible Time is running out !
Deep love!! Amazing...
