That's why a lot of players end up going to Madrid because they know if they make it in Madrid and do so for several years they will eventually end up in the history books. I see Barcelona and Real Madrid as the pinnacle of the footballing world (my opinion), basically "the last station" for every player when it comes to careers.

It's funny teams like RM or any other for that matter think it's okay to dump a player when ever they feel it's in their interest , after all it's just business. The funny part is that players are expected to show loyalty to a club when it's not in there interest to. For example the RM fans are all bent out of shape because Mbappe used RM as a negotiating tool to increase his salary at PSG, yet they see no hypocrisy in RM using Haaland to pressure Mbappe to sign, yes it's just business. If in a couple of years Mbappe proves to be the best player in the world and is available, RM will sign him and if he starts to score goals all this hate will disappear. A new era is coming in football as wealthier owners purchase teams, the old farts won't like it but that's evolution and this era will see the rise in power of the superstar players.

Madrid had to save money, reduce wages, not signing players for a year and sell, Hakimi, Varane, Odegaard, Reguilon, James and not renew Ramos. Perez is a very successful businessman and is very serious about how he runs the club. If he didn't sign Neymar from Santos is because he claimed the numbers didn't add up and something smelled fishy. Eventually, we all saw how Barcelona's president got in deep shit for Neymar's transfer and scamming many people in Brazil. He even ended up in jail.

Real Madrid "business model" is all about buying the best players which also buys success and increases shirt and tv revenues. When they no longer attract the big players they are finished.

What? I assume you're joking. Messi left because Barcelona couldn't afford him anymore. Neymar (I can't believe you mentioned Neymar here) left because PSG activated his release clause and he agreed to join PSG.(Barcelona didn't want to sell him) As much as I love Ramos and still would have loved him at Real Madrid, his demands made the club to go for someone younger. Di Maria might be the only one who left in an unfavorable situation.

You can also mention the legends who de retire as they deserve. First of all, Real Madrid is his favourite club and Cr7 is his idol. Him joining Real Madrid had nothing to do with the Madrid fans. Those two factors made it look like he would join Real Madrid. Unfortunately he chose money over potential legendary status in a club with a rich history. Everything seemed to have been a perfect time for him to join Real Madrid because Benzema has like 2 and/or 3 more seasons in him, and 1 and/or 2 more seasons of him playing really good (I hope he plays like this until he retires in Madrid). He would play right wing alongside Benzema and Vinicius Junior. Those 3 would be a devasting force against other teams, he would also have the midfield trio that keeps blinding us with magical performances. Rudiger will make the defense a little better but Madrid need 1 more good CB, let's say Koulibaly or wish Ramos back LOL. Valvervde, Camavinga, Rodrygo, Brahim (loan to Milan) and Asensio show that Madrid has a bright future so Mbappe wouldn't have to worry about the future. I honestly hope Mbappe has a good career but as a Madrid fan and the fact that I dislike Perez, I don't want him as a Galactico and I don't want Perez to try to buy him in the near future because he has same mentality as Neymar (money over everything, Neymar could literally win Balon D'or if he just stayed in Barca.).
