Adam Buxton is brilliant. Not sure if it's in this episode but he usually does a segment where he sarcastically reads out KZread comments (which I think you'll love). If you do like that you could always react to "Bug" which is a stand-up show he does that comprises almost entirely of that segment LOL

Jodi is absolutely right - viewers do indeed hate it when Nick - so repeatedly - stops the clock. The whole point of a clock - the Countdown - is not whether you can do it because we all could with sufficient time. The point is ONLY can you solve it in 30 secs. Any thing else is cheating and/or meaningless.

Adam Buxton's accent is SSB (Standard Southern British) but when he did the song he was doing MLE (Multicultural London English). Other accents are available.

British panel shows are so good and a lot of them are not only funny but informative QI being one that springs to mind. I've never understood why they are not as popular in countries around the world, I recently watched a Canadian do a video on British TV and she was saying how it's nowhere near as popular in Canada or America. I thought thought the networks would of loved them as they are relatively cheap to make

The reasoning behind Jimmy's joke about Mock the Week is that the show Eight Out of Ten Cats has the same premise - a panel show with comedians that go over the news of the week.

Susie Dent been on countdown, in dictionary corner since 1992.

On an insight into the show, I think it was John Richardson who said he was told by a real countdown champion to write down the 50 times table because its very useful for the numbers section

Adam Buxton on Travel Man seemed to me to be the celebrity guest who kept host Richard Ayoade the most amused during their short break together on an episode of that series. I think that he was also involved with the TV show Most Haunted, or Most Haunted Live.

One of the other dictionary corner guests (as Adam Buxton is in this episode) is Nick Helm, who starred in a Uk comedy series "uncle". Worth watching 👍. Adam Buxton is a legend. I believe he started out with 'The Adam & Joe show" ?? Anyways, tis also worth checking out 👍 )

Obviously, not a recent recording, as they are using the radio mics that they ultimately returned, after people commented on their audio performance. Then again, most people position such mics near the neckline, or upper chest level for recording purposes. With the mics positioned lower down on the abdomen, as they have in this instance, it no doubt compromised their recording potential, rather than enhancing it. It may not having been the best audio, but, to my ears it was still perfectly understandable.

Average view count with Jodie - 10k Average view count without Jodie - 2k Also, Jodie’s solo video from 2 days ago maintained the view count. Nicks intro (the reason behind my comment) was as such… “hi, welcome to my channel, I’m here, I’m in my squeaky chair! Oh n Jodie’s here too btw!” It would make him sound less of an arse if he said something along the lines of “Hi, WE’RE here and I’m in my squeaky chair!” She is his wife and the reason his channel is seeing success, he should include her in his language!
