Other unique places in India. 1. The Sundarbans. 2. Salt/brackish water lakes in the east. 3. Backwaters of Kerala. 4. Tropical evergreen forests of Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, and Andaman and Nicobar islands. 5. Subtropical evergreen forests of eastern Himalayas. 6. Spectacular and perilous mountain/ghat roads with hairpin bends in SW and NE India. 7. Hundreds of historical, prehistoric, older, and less known sites other than Taj Mahal. (Sites from Indus valley civilization, historical sites in Rajasthan, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Odisha etc). 8. Historical temples of southern and eastern India each unique to its local culture. 9. Beaches in peninsular India, Lakshadweep islands, Andaman and Nicobar islands and not just Goa. 10. Thousands of waterfalls of the south-west, northeast, and east India. 11. Gir national park, Kaziranga national park, and other tiger reserves and sanctuaries. India is a wonderland.

6:20 My father served in the Indian Air Force in a deployment to Arunachal Pradesh, though not as extreme east as the village Dong. He told me that sunrise and sunset in the Northeast are different from the concept of time we expect from looking at watches. The watches would show 4:30 am or 5:00 am, and the sun would already be seen rising. Similarly, in the evening, by the time it says 5:30 pm on the watches, the sun would have already set. It kind of feels weird to see the sunrise and sunset so early. 6:44 It might feel that tourists might overcrowd the place, but as the village is so close to the LAC (Indo-China Border), there will be some form of security to vet down and control tourists to prevent overcrowding. 8:23 My father also served in the Air Force Base at Naliya during his service, which is one of the westernmost Air Force Bases in the country, and the concept of time is again weird here as well. Sunrise doesn't happen till 6:30-7:00 am, and sunset is after 7:00 pm, another oddity to compare with watches. These things make us think about how irrelevant watches and timezones feel at a local level, and we should probably follow the sun for day-to-day work. Also, India is crazy in the extremities that it has within itself.

6:50 I totally agree. During my childhood my town Rishikesh was not much crowded, infact it was pretty much peaceful. It is still peaceful in parts but unfortunately people from allover India, especially from a particular place(I'll not name) come here in weekends and traffic is just too much. Over tourism is a menace

I am from Nainital and during summers I can't even step a foot outside my house due to overcrowding because of tourist. A lot of people don't even care about the local flora and fauna they throw trash all over the town and even on the way to the town. The lower mall road has collapsed many times and yes the drunkards during New year. PS- If you want to explore Nainital please do visit Governor's house(One of the only two governor's house in India that are open to the public, it is situated on top of the mountain + it has one of the most beautiful golf course and the gothic architecture of the palace is just breathtaking), Devsthal observatory(It has Asia's largest reflecting telescope), Jim corbett National park(Ramnagar), Nainital zoo(highest altitude zoo in Asia), bhimtal, sattal, naukuchiyatal, kaichi dham(steve jobs, mark zuckerberg, julia roberts, virat kohli and a lot of celebs have visited the place because of neeb karori baba) karkotak(snake temple), chota kailash, snow view point and many more..

These are the onlt things that I can recall for now. If you are interested in trekking then I will recommend you to visit Pithoragarh ( another town).

India has everything from snow mountains to hot deserts, from tropical forests to sea coasts and beaches, islands, plateaus everything
India is a content opportunity for so many creators .😄 Very glad that our culture & the gems that we have in our Motherland is also giving an opportunity to you to create & also help Foreigners in learning about the truth about India & providing a perspective to Indians on how Indian culture is perceived through different lenses.
You're right Achara, one needs many lifetimes to experience most of India's glories!
Sadly, Andrew, I don't think it is possible to cover the easternmost and westernmost points in India in one day. As they said in the video, Dong Valley is quite remote and it would take at least 13-14 hours to reach the nearest airport (Itanagar, I believe). Then, you would need to change flights at least twice to reach the State of Gujarat from where you can proceed to the westernmost point in India (somewhere in Kutch district). That said, almost every Indian state has enough places of tourist attraction to keep you engaged for years.
I live in phalodi ready for June 🔥
I feel like I’m back in a Geography where we learned about extreme conditions in India.
Even though I’m born and brought up in Mumbai, India. Here in Alberta, Canada where I live now, our winter temperature goes as low as -46 degrees Celsius 😅

Watching western people getting so amazed by India and everything India has to offer, makes me feel so lucky to be born in this amazing country. And at the same time feel sad when Indians leave India. I understand everyone has their reasons but still... Anyway... Love from India.. keep up the good work ❤
Watching sunrise and then watching sunset in another part. It is only possible with a private hired helicopter
India and the US are pretty similar in terms of having diverse environments; tundra, desert, plains, forests, beach and mountainous. India however has plenty of jungle environments and the last jungle "the Florida Everglades" within America no longer exists. It got transformed into farmland in the early 2000's.
Frankly you need not to worry about tourist destroying areas because most of the places are at border area which is not easy to access

What we recently got to see in Joshimath is enough to make *me* worry atleast.
Also, the coldest temperature ever recorded in dras was -60°C🤧
Personally i live cold rather than so hot!!! Although i live in average climate region i love Beach or Mountainside
What's funny is himalay and rajasthan are like 1000km apart. Not that far considering they being coldest and hottest place.
Also, tungnath is the highest shiva temple 3,690 m (12, 106 ft.)
It might be possible but it'll be very hard cuz u've to watch rising sun in far East ( Arunachal Pradesh is like last place in East of India) & then take a flight to watch the sunset in far West( Arabian sea), might be close to impossible actually. The place to watch the sun rise doesn't have any normal transportation methods u need to walk by foot or go on a helicopter ig
I agree with you, like I am from Goa, its always been full of tourists, but like 10 to 15 years back there was some places only locals would know but now even those places are full of tourists.
Visit coorg, chikkamangalur, and some parts of kerela...its very beautiful and do visit temples over there

As an Indian, I feel lucky to visit mountains, beaches, lowlands, islands, desserts, and forests without paying extra for a visa.
Our country is just blessed because we have each and every type of climate in the world in just in one country. And each and every vegitation in the world we can grow each and everything by ourselves. We are blessed we live in india .
Darjeeling,Sikkim You should visit...Its beautiful
Andrew, I think you have some serious issues with Greg's wedding 😁😂
Was just casually scrolling, wasn't much interested in this video and then saw the name phalodi on thumbnail.. Couldn't click it fast enough😂😂 It's my hometown.. The fact that it's not only hottest place in India in summer but it gets damn cold in winter as well that you won't wish to step out of the blankets.. And then those casual sand storms makes life even more interesting.. 😌
9:19 not any normal Buddhist temples, they are the holiest of all Buddhists temples, places where Gautam buddha actually visited himself and preached and his birth places ( it in Nepal but Indian can visit Visa free )and The Bodhi Tree . And the Gov't had built a Buddhist corridor connected with railway.
Kanchanjunga, though lies in the border of India and Nepal, has its peak in Nepal so it is called to be in Nepal
