Terminator Resistance was hated by critics but loved by players.
I'm playing Mad Max right now. Is it perfect? Probably not. Is it pretty great? Yes! What a world! And that sky.. Damn.
If there is anything I learned from this video the critics can definitely go to hell when it comes to a very beautiful and emotionally moving game like the last guardian 😭
What I have learned is 9 out of 10 times when critics hate any games/movies, I am gonna love it.
I wouldn't say "73" on metacritic (Mad Max) classifies as "hating" but sure it's not "loving it" either.

Critics rated it as a shooter and not an G even though it said RPG on the front of the box. Headshots in RPGs are not the same as headshots in shooters.
Obvisously, the games with the lower critic scores from IGN did not offer enough cash for a good review.
Love EDF. Can't wait for 6.
In the UK we had a magazine called loaded ,one guy reviewed ninja gaiden on the original xbox, due to a skill issue he gave it 1 out of 5

Never listen to critics, they have to review stuff for a living so they become dulled to genres and demote if it's more of the same. That and critics also have different preferences.

The biggest problem I see with “pro” game reviews is that they have to review a game quickly move to the next. They don’t have time to slowly progress with rough open world games and thus complain about bloat. They also don’t have time to put into most games as service which are vastly different 6 in months they are at launch. And that’s understood by the rank and file gamer. They also complain that games are repetitive because they are rushing through them in a compressed timeline that is not realistic for most gamers. To be honest, most games are repetitive if you boil them down to the basics.

I played air ride on the GameCube with a few friends and I had absolutely zero clue what was going on and was surprised how horrible the graphics were l o l I grew up on GameCube so it was weird to see how spoiled I’ve became as an adult from modern consoles

Explorers of the Sky is one of my favorite Pokémon games. I don't look at critic reviews, though if I hear enough bad things I agree I wouldn't like from reviewers like this channel, I'm less likely to get something. I like the mystery dungeon games better than the mainstream Pokémon games. I can't believe critics hated it.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky is an improvement to Explorers of Time/Darkness and an awesome game to boot. Those critics hating this game and giving it a low score are in the wrong & it won't stop me from playing it bc it's my favorite game on the NDS.
Mad max platinum on ps i love it
As soon as I saw EDF I came to give a thumbs up.
I still remember when the Survivor tie in game came out and Computer Gaming World gave it an above 0 score (can't remember the exact score). About a year later, they put out a retraction apologizing for giving it the rating that it did and if they could they would give it a negative rating
The critics of the explorers games was the reason when they came out why I didn't get into the series until sky came out. As my college friends told me to try the games I think the highest it got was from x play at a 3/5

@@michaelgunnels9694 Video game critics are very bad as they only played the games but didn’t play them enough. This is why whenever a good video game is released that critics give it bad reviews, but if a bad video game is released, then critics will give it good reviews. But I want to see the Explorers game to get the remake treatment as one game, because the Rescue Team games got the remake treatment as one game, so what’s stopping the Explorers game from getting a remake as one game?

EDF ftw, fun above all.
Postal 2, or was it Postal 1... Remembered an old friend trying out Postal 2...or was it 1...but when the protagonist had the option to kill a family hearing a kid plead for his life made him stop, put the game back into the box, go back to the store and demand a refund.
Every game has Bee Movie vibes
Any Mildly Hard game will be hated by Game Journos... Tho I don't think Friendly Fire is moral in the industry
I absolutely LOVED Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky. I wish that got a remake instead of the original mystery dungeon
Back when Postal 2 came out I had this one manager that was the worst possible imaginable. I fully enjoyed playing Postal 2 when I came home from work.

EDF & bad? Maybe some of the spinoffs aren't THAT great. However the main series? Absolutely worth playing!
Days Gone comes to mind. Critics were either very mixed on it or outright didn't like it but if you speak to regular gamers, there's a lot of love for it to be found for it and equally a lot of disappointment that we'll never get a sequel.

It’s gotta be rough being a game critic these days, especially if you work for a large company like IGN. People already despise you for working at what is widely considered a corporate sell out. Add the fact all reviews are subject to a person’s mood and personal opinions and it’s a recipe for disaster. Reviewers like Mitchell Saltzman have busted their ass to stand out and be a trusted source when it comes to fighting games and souls likes. I do not envy them is all I’m trying to say.

Critics hated Chaos Legion, mostly because the PS2 couldn't handle what it wanted to be. The gameplay was amazing, it just wasn't another Devil May Cry, which is what Capcom all-but promised.
The orginal nier was always be a game that critics got wrong. Im glad i give the game a chance n still to this stay the story still fresh in my mind. N rhe brilliant remake critics score was much improved.

I never really listened to IGN, but after they actively encouraged cheating in Elden Ring PVP while mocking people who played the game properly, I lost any respect I may have had for the trash fire.
Worst one for me was when IGN gave Alien: Isolation a 5/10. I coudn't believe it. Was my GOTY, and still one of the best survival horror games of all time.

Deadly Premonition absolutely would deserve a modern Remake. The Story is great!

F**k the critics if I love a game/film to hell with what they think
If there is anything I couldnt care about less, it's a reviewers opinion on anything. Do you consider yourself a reviewer, be it food, games, movies, etc. I think your opinion is worth less than KBS of space their opinion takes up in a word doc.
People that judge a game based on someone's review instead of playing it themselves are the real problem. Make your own decision, and don't be a sheep.
Critics have been out of touch with consumers since the late eighties. The state of gaming due corporate misconceptions are pretty indicative of this divide.
